I had heard about the reputation of Warhammer stores having a very pushy environment, but hadn't experienced it firsthand until I visited this store. The manager was very immediately hard sales about everything. You can't browse or consider. If there is a moment of silence, there is suggestion you should buy more items or pre-order or buy something that's made to order online in addition to the list of other things suggested already. It's interesting reading the other review mentioning the manager talking about how long they've been in the hobby. They did that to me too, but from the details they mentioned, they sounded like they only had cursory knowledge and depth of the hobby. I got some paint I needed, but I'll never return to this store. It was really uncomfortable to be in there.

The store is far away from where I live..so I don't get to visit that often. The past couple of times that I've been there have been pleasant though. The lady that runs the store is very knowledgeable in the hobby and made our time there enjoyable! Since I'm still new to the hobby, she explained things very well and I appreciated that! When I do have the time, I would definitely come back here!

Rented a car and drove through way more traffic than I should have because NASCAR was taking place at Sonoma raceway only to find the store closed during working hours. It was a costly trip that I was looking forward to and to have it end this way was supremely disappointing! I was there after 2pm and it looked like it wasn’t going to reopen.

Great little store with everything you'd expect. And Shannon was the best!

Been in there a couple of times, both positive. The attendant was nice both times, recommended more expensive items than I was planning on getting and tried to persuade me to get them. That's fine though, wasn't very persistent about it. She hosts a painting help on Wednesdays which is helpful and awesome, also very knowledgeable about the hobby. Overall good store with good atmosphere and staff.

Would give 0 stars if I could. I've been to several GW stores in the past. I always really enjoy the experience but not the last 2 times. The lady who works there really rubs me the wrong way. She had an air of superiority regarding the hobby and overall found her abrasive. Made sure to let me know how long she'd been doing Warhammer. Both times. Cool.

Hi-ya!So I stopped in this location when we were passing through town to get back home from bodega bay. And what a gem to find in Petaluma. Firstly, I'm already a war hammer hobby enthusiast--so finding a location by chance was amazing. The gal I met when I walked in was friendly, professional and was a hobbyist for over 30 years so she knew her stuff. The shop was what I'd expect for a Games Workshop and the service was spot on. I wanted to see the new Xmas Goff and it was available. I didn't buy, but love seeing them. The gal working showed me her assembled model, and let me hold it too.The selection was awesome and I think they even had the December white dwarf either the free steam codes for games there. I have opened a few months due to time constraints but am excited if it's coming!Again clean store, great service and such a pleasure to see the hobby grow.

I've been to Warhammer Petaluma a few times recently and had an amazing experience every time. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, taking the time to chat about every aspect of the hobby. Can't wait to come game here as well.

After a long string of hobby shops that never give that welcoming community feeling walking into warhammer Petaluma was a breath of fresh air. Carl knows his product and the games that go with it. I have been a warhammer fan for a long time and this was one of if not my best experiences at a warhammer (GamesWorkshop) store. Keep up to great work, and I look forward to coming in more and more!

I used to like coming here but the gal who manages the place now made for an uncomfortable experience. Twice. The first time I met her I attempted to return a web order where I'd ordered 2 copies of a large box set and needed one to go back. She told me web orders, under no circumstances, could be returned in store. So I left. I contacted Games Workshop customer service to return the set. They informed me I could return online OR in store. They expanded on this and said they'd have to call to make it happen. With this new information I returned to the store with the set. It's worth mentioning I live 35 minutes away from this Warhammer.I enter the store..."Welcome in, what can I do for you?" She asks. I inform her I intend to return this box set."Was it purchased here?" I tell her no, it was purchased online. This time, she doesn't tell me online orders cannot be returned in store."When was it purchased? Less than 30 days?"I say less than 90. She repeats that it's 30 days as she INDIGNANTLY made her way to the front of the store where the return policy is hung on the wall. She searches it as I approach to read along with her, but she doesn't find anything about that, because the return window is 90 days. She repeats a final time it's 30, I repeat a final time that it's 90 and SHE SLAMMED HER PEN DOWN AT HER REGISTER. Aside from that she was completely composed, but underneath I could tell she was seething. The environment was... uncomfortable. After moments of silence I politely ask her how she likes the new contrast paints, because I HATE confrontation and wanted to reign things in. Oddly enough, she responded in kind and brought out some new terrain for me to look at and talked about some new sets coming out that she was excited for. This was all while she tried several numbers to contact customer service to complete the return. She tells me (this is moments after the store opened at 11am PST) that customer service closes at 11am central and I'd probably not be able to make the return. Like what? Then after the 3rd or 4th number she gets ahold of someone. The return goes down and I leave. The first time I tried to make the return is a whole other story where she made different claims about store policy and in general attempted to ascert dominance over me by repeatedly telling me how long she'd been in the hobby. The last visit put an especially bad taste in my mouth and I can honestly say I will never return. Not to play, not to bring my kids and especially not to buy.

A great place to shop for all your warhammer needs. The community is very welcoming to newcomers and provide content for all ages. I went there right after closing time and Carl was kind enough to let me do some last minute shopping.

WHAT AN AWESOME PLACE! I am new to warhammer and couldn't believe the help I received from the store and their employees. Everything I could have asked, they had an answer for! They were able to get me the correct paints and helped me start my necron army :) and if it wasn't in store they were able to order it for me. I couldn't be any happier with the respect and professionalism I received from here. Thank you! If you're just starting or an experienced n*** this is definitely the best warhammer store hands down !
