Gowan's Oak Tree in Philo, California, is a family-owned business that has been serving the community since 1950. Located in the beautiful Anderson Valley, it offers a variety of locally grown produce, including seasonal fruits, vegetables, dried fruits, nuts, honey, and more. The farm is famous for its fresh apple cider, which visitors often praise as the best, with some calling it delicious and not too tart or sweet. The shop features a water spot for washing fruits and a display of apple-related awards on the ceiling, highlighting their quality. Customers enjoy their organic apples, apple sauce, cherries, and potatoes, and many return year after year for their fresh apple juice and cider slushies. The farm also provides a playground and scenic surroundings, making it a relaxing stop for travelers before heading up the coastline. Open seven days a week, Gowan's Oak Tree is a must-visit for fresh, local produce and tasty treats.
An absolute must if you're going through 128. The cider is second to none, their fresh produce is of excellent quality (particularly enjoy their dates, great snack for the road) and everyone who works there are friendly. Been visiting since I was a kid, will continue to!

Been coming here since I was a kid, and always stop in on my way to visit town. The best apples I've had.

We love to stop here for apples when we pass by, and their frozen slushie fresh cider is perfect on a hot day
