Rock Stop is a unique store located along Highway 128, surrounded by beautiful redwood forests. It is described as a life-size treasure box and an absolute goldmine with a huge, impressive selection. The inventory includes a vast variety of reasonably priced gems, rocks, and minerals. Customers will find many specimens, from crystals and fossils to semiprecious stones and literal boulders. There is an excellent selection of California Jade, along with raw and carved pieces, and reasonably priced giant amethyst slabs. The owners are a very nice, friendly couple. One owner is noted as exceptionally engaging and gregarious, with vast knowledge, gladly informing customers about the provenance and quality of pieces from several continents. The shop has a great energy, making it a perfect stop and a must-see location, especially for rock collectors. Many customers plan to return.
