I loved the look of this record shop, very vintage and cozy. Also loved the employee there, very kind and helpful and the record prices are pretty fair and a wide range of genres. My only issue is that I wish there was more newer music from today, but just a minor issue.

Cool record store with great selection in the Latin department and oldies. The pricing is just right, considering the gouging that's currently taking place within the record collecting community (simply look at Amoeba records). Friendly and helpful staff overall. Found a few gems for a buck.... Which reminds me that I need to stop buying records compulsively. Will visit again when in the area.

Owner profiles you/harasses you with questions, records sit in room temp which could reach the high 90s and may damage the integrity of the record (they have no AC at this store)

Always a fantastic selection of mid century furniture, speakers and art. I came across a stunning standalone shelf on their Instagram page, messaged them immediately and they were super responsive. Vince is a straight shooter, honest, and has impeccable taste. My husband and I rented a U-Haul to come pick it up, and the folks at Sanford's carefully removed the shelves, wrapped up the entire piece and helped us load and secure it for the ride home. It was well worth the trek out to Pico Rivera and we'll be back again soon (hopefully for some dope vintage speakers) and to check out the record store next door. Appointments only so be sure to look at their Instagram page to peek their latest selection first and make an appointment.

I was passing through this area and thought I’d check this place out. Bought a $25 Colombian Cumbia record the clerk was playing. Sounded good, I didn’t think I needed to inspect it. I get home and put it on, low and behold it has an overbearing very loud noise throughout the first few tracks on both sides. I take a closer look… giant brown stain on both sides of the LP, like someone spilled boiling soup on it. The rest of the record while listenable also sounds quite bad. Not to mention the cover, totally split on one side (it was in plastic in store). The clerk also said how rare these records are in the US… that may be, but I looked it up… $29 VG+ copy on discogs, $45 shipped. $25 for this thing? The store on my corner in LA that also sells hard to come by Latin American records would 100 percent never sell this thing for more than $10 tops. And this is Pico Rivera… come on now. But more importantly, unless it’s in the $1 bin (where this belongs), you should obviously always tell the customer if he or she’s buying a thrashed record. Unreal. Tried calling a few times on different days during their business hours to try to give this guy a chance to explain and make it right, no answer. Buyer beware I guess!

I picked up a beautiful mid century credenza from Sanford’s Vintage. The piece was exactly as photographed and described, price was fair, and communication was quick and efficient. I’d buy from them again and recommend to family and friends.

Sanford's problem is that it inflates the cost of records that do not actually cost what they claim to be market price (2nd market to be fair). I've shopped with them and compared costs of records to other shops in the area. Sanford's consistently inflates the cost and sells you records they claim to be first pressings and rare finds. While that may be subjective to them what they want to charge you are at the mercy of easily over paying for something that is not actually what they claim to be. Here's a good example I tried to sell them a stack of records. I purposefully placed an extremely expensive hard to find pressing of a movie sound track that goes on discogs for an average price of 300 dollars. The owner scoffed at me and said my stack was common and nothing of value to him. Keep in mind I took the same stack to other records stores to compare. Other record stores said "I can't take this record, its too expensive" Just keep that in mind when you buy and sell from them. They don't do their research and they will try to pull fast ones on you regularly. Other than that if you want to buy records that are presumed to be in okay quality you will get that. Just make sure you understand that they have a 20-30 percent mark up compared to other places. ALSO PROTIP: haggle with them every time no one is around. They say they won't but they always do. It's hilarious. ESPECIALLY if you know your stuff about records.

I like it. My girl and I have been to a few record stores lately and this one provides the nostalgia of looking for barging albums the others don't. We enjoyed an afternoon of rummaging through stacks of music. We came away with 6 albums for $49. I'll give the store one more star if they extend their hours. I had to go on my day off.
