The sandwiches aren’t that cheap that what you see in the picture is okay.

Great service! The sandwich was delicious but could use a little bit more meat. The gigante bean salad was amazing!

$13.99 for a hot corned beef sandwich with burned bread, one slice of meat that is tough like leather and unrecognizable cheese. Tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp notwithstanding it was freshly made.

I've been into sandwiches lately & wanted to try a new place in Oakland. Tucked inside a small little corner lies Mulberry Market. Order: The Crombie- double salami, mortadella, provolone, lettuce, tomato & pepperoncini on sourdough. Although they ran out of the sourdough bread the white bread substitute didn't effect the outcome. The amount of meat is plentiful & you really have to take a big bite to get to the meat. The Crombie is a great new addition to their already delicious sandwiches. So come hungry & leave happy!

Want to get ripped off? Come buy a sandwich here! Literally a roll of bread, some kind of sauce, tiny slice of meat, and a heavy price tag. These people have pre-made sandwiches just like Safeway but charge $13 for what safeway charges $5. The deli sandwiches you're paying $15 for a skimpy tiny sandwich. Everytime I eat here I feel cheated, and the customer service you get is terrible. Ripoff Market should be avoided. You can get a better sandwich at a better price almost anywhere else. They are MILKING these rich people who live nearby for a below par meal.

Okay selection, but very overpriced…. I get that we’re in Piedmont, but some prices in there are just egregious. Unfortunately I’ve also found most of the older staff (maybe owners?) to be incredibly rude to patrons. This place could definitely be better.

Extremely overpriced and staff are incredibly rude. I see a lot of good reviews on here but they treat teenagers MUCH worse. I handed the woman my money and she said “an adult would never hand another adult money like this” (it was slightly folded) “flatten it out and try again” then she left. I tried flattening out the bill and she came back and said “if you had done this before we wouldn’t need to sit here and get to know each other”

The go-to convenience store in Piedmont. Their sandwiches are always reliably delicious.Unfortunately, the price gouging here is extreme and the costs are especially high for most products, even for California standards. I understand an increase in price justified by convenience, but almost everything seems twice as much as it should be. $6 for a bagel, $9.99 for a pint of ice cream, $8 for a regular size box of cereal, et cetera.

I ordered a roast beef sandwich with extra pickles and extra mayonnaise on a soft roll with nothing else on it, to go. When I opened my sandwich at lunch I found onions, peppers, spicy mustard, lettuce, one small pickle slice and almost no mayonnaise. I could not return it because I was no longer there. I couldn't eat it because I react badly to spicy mustard, peppers and onions. Innocent mistake I am sure, but I am out $12.00 and my lunch because the person making my sandwich could not be bothered to listen. I went early when there was not a lunch rush.

Such a jewel of a market! Nice staff, great lunch options and everything else you need. Only thing I would change is the sushi vendor. The one from Sakura is not good; rice to fish ratio, rice thick and chewy, fish mushy and tasteless. There are better options for sure!

I really appreciate Omar at the sandwich counter. Thank you for always making delicious sandwiches and for creating a clean, sanitary environment. It means a lot to customers that he pays attention to details. Thanks for using gloves, cleaning the counter and of course, for the great food. We frequent this place and will keep doing so, especially because of Omar!

Spent $13 for a sandwich. Received a huge roll with literally one slice of turkey. Sad because you used to be able to get a decent sandwich that would fill you up.

I took photos of my half eaten sandwich and returned to the store for a refund since it was 80% bread, 10% meat, 10% onion and tomato. To my surprise, the manager refused my request because I had eaten the other half.
