I used their custom framing department twice and received horrible customer service both times. The first time I thought Amanda was just having a bad day and gave her the benefit of the doubt. The second time I greeted her with a hello and she ignored me. She proceeded to go behind the counter, grab my items and says "I should have been out of here 20 minutes ago." She then says she can't help me and I'll have to look at my items myself as she starts getting her things. She leaves as I'm opening my packages to make sure the frames are ok.

It's a sad day when I have to write a bad review for one of my favorite stores. I've been getting my materials here for some time now. I notice since my last curbside pick up a couple things have changed maybe it's been updated online I'm not sure but today I ordered 2 things. I have my 4 year old son I figured I'd do a pick up order then go pick up my 6 year old from school after. I didn't want to bring my son in since I know he's going to fall asleep. I put in the app that I'm "on my way" then I get a text saying my order was picked up. So now I'm like great now I have to go inside. So I go inside with my poor son who was sleeping. I went to the cashier and said I have a pick up. Her words "what you don't know how to pick up?" I said no I originally did curbside. She said did you call? I said no. Was I supposed to call? It didn't give me that option it said my order was picked up. I said this isn't convenient the whole point was to do curbside she said "oh that's just our system. You know how it is things don't work right" she said with this I don't care attitude and continued to walk away from me talking like oh well deal with it. I said wow that's how you treat people with that attitude I said I'll make sure to put that in the review she said "yeah you do that" then I walked back inside and asked for a manager she said "ok she'll be here in a couple mins" I waited and waited then I asked another associate where the manager was she said oh she's in framing. So I go over there and asked are you the manager she said how can I help you I said so is that a yes? You're the manager she said yes like she was irritated, off the bat she talks over me and says "if you want curbside you have to do it in the parking lot" I said ok but why does it have on my way in the app and it says put my parking number when I get there. She doesn't even let me talk she talks over me and says you need to tell the 1800 number that she repeats herself multiple times to call the 800 number like instead of letting me talk and listening to me it's like she's taught to tell customers just call 800 number she's a manager she's supposed to talk to customers to make things better but it really just made it worse and it shows how the employees are and how they treat customers there no customer service! I asked her how am I supposed to know that when I'm online following the instructions that it's going to automatically say my order was picked up only employees know that since it seems to be a glitch. I said I feel like your just blowing me off and telling me to call the 800 number to get me to leave she said I hear this all the time! As a customer that's not my problem it's your job! To listen and be compassionate and understanding! I was a manager for years! It's just sad that no one has respect for other people period! Michaels you need to really do better

Mistreat their staff (who mostly consist of teenagers). Aren't stocked with a lot of product.

I live in Tara Hills whoever is managing Michael's needs to keep up with the inventory because everybody that lives here in Pinole they go there and there's nothing there so they put money into other areas that not our community so they shop somewhere else because there is nothing there at the store. That's why the businesses close down because people in our community shop in other towns because they can't find what you're looking for. Please do better.

Michael's stock system is perpetually NOT accurate. I cannot place an order with Michael's for items that the website says are in stock without fearing that the order will simply be cancelled because the items are not actually in stock. It's 2022, you should have something as basic as store stock be accurate. DO NOT BUY FROM MICHAEL'S.

Update to my previous review from 2 days ago. The finished products are awesome. I was all set to cancel my order since it took a month, but I got a call that they were completed and ready for pick up. Here's one of them. I'm very pleased

I went to replace a frame that had broken when it fell off the wall even breaking a tiny bit of the glass. Although there wasn't a large selection of 12x12 frames, I found one that was almost like the original. I told the nice young lady behind the frame's counter that I could not assemble it and asked for her help. She did it! I was so happy.
