We have stayed here for years, always in the ocean view upper room, when traveling through Pismo. This time, they tried to hit us with a new hidden parking fee of $10. While this is nominal, I can see where this is going. Its not a location that is easily accessible without a vehicle and they have plenty of parking space! I don't mind that they've cut back on maid service, etc., but dont charge extra for a necessity like parking. Also, the jacuzzi was filled with kids in diapers with their parents. Disgusting. Guess I'll have to find another hotel.🫣

Cute, quaint hotel with beach access but just far enough out of downtown Pismo to be relaxing. Highly suggest the delux king room, which opens to the outside seating areas and fire pits. Pool and hot tub look over the scenic beach view. Customer service was excellent.

As an old fart I'm shocked at room rates, and Pismo Beach is not cheap, especially where there is an ocean view. Shucks, Motel 6 is $165 a night. The desk clerk at Cottage Inn gave us a rate slightly less than the Booking.com rate, and about $30 less than the hotel next door. We stayed just one night. The room was clean, spacious, and had all of the usual amenities. I especially appreciated the quiet heat/AC unit. The pool is small, but adequate for a dip, and there is an outdoor hot tub. The firepits and outdoor chairs with an ocean view are nice. There is a path along the top of the cliff, and we walked to the Ventana Grill. Breakfast service (and coffee) begins at 7:00 AM, and there is a surcharge for this. We opted to get coffee at Scorpion Coffee, and breakfast at Penny's All American Diner. I recommend both places. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and have no complaints. Considering the location, the price is in line with other properties.

We have stayed here for over 20 yrs and like to stay in the King Patio, especially when we have our dogs. The King Patio was refurbished with the a comfy bed and additional lighting. Nice surprise. We love the fact you can open the patio door, hear the ocean and let the ocean breeze in

Booking our stay at the Cottage Inn is the best choice we ever made. The location is perfect. The ocean front rooms have spectacular views. Within a few steps you’re down at the most beautiful beach. Cottage Inn offers great commodities for all their guests. It’s family and pet friendly. We love staying at Cottage Inn by the Sea for a guaranteed peaceful and relaxing vacation.

We had an amazing and relaxing time celebrating my mom's birthday. She had the partial ocean view room and was spacious and beautiful. We had the regular double queen bed room but also had a beautiful view. We were close to the pool, hot tub, and fireplace area. 20 minute walking distance from the Pismo Pier. Definitely recommend this place. We loved it!

Beautiful location! Greg was very helpful and even upgraded our room! The view from our room was amazing. It was nice to make s’mores by the fireplace. The only bad thing was the hot tub, it was more of a warm tub.
