“My review is specifically of Envoy in Arroyo Grande. The address is 104 Traffic Way, Suite A, Arroyo Grande, CA, 93420. I would like to commend Michael Hunstad, Branch Manager/Mortgage Manager. I cannot tell you what a Godsend Michael was to our lives. My mother and I decided to purchase a coastal home and found a property we sincerely wanted. We approached several loan officers and we were told a flat "NO, you will not qualify." Our fabulous realtor, Melissa Layshot (see her review separately) told us to quit messing around with Rocket Mortgage and Chase Manhattan. Boy, am I glad she told us about Michael. He worked night and day to get us the loan on the house we desired. He called frequently, kindly informing us what documentation we needed to send him. He also, step-by-step kept us in the loop about how our loan proposal was progressing, so we didn't feel like we were waiting for a "yes" or "no." He kept us hopeful. Ultimately it felt like talking to a friend during the process. We never felt hopeless that we wouldn't achieve our dream. In fact, he, and Melissa, were the only people who told us we COULD do it. He even showed up for our signing documents and WE DID GET THE COASTAL HOUSE WE ALWAYS WANTED!! I don't think any other mortgage company would have gotten us this far. And, most of all, he helped us with utmost curtesy and grace. Michael made all the difference in the world to us. He listens patiently, explains everything in a down-to-earth manner, keeps you up-to-date (practically, if not,daily) and holds-your-hand though such a daunting process.
