Super nice motels rooms were really nice.. Love the area also. A little far walking distance from the pier but still would definitely come and stay here again.

It was our first time staying at this location me and my wife are coming back for a 1-year anniversary the first time we came to Pismo Beach we stayed at a hotel that was a little bit up the Ways I really like the hotel when I first saw it and I really like that the sweet was up by the road right next to the office we are kind of by ourselves in the room at night it was pretty quiet some rooms are obviously louder than others because of traffic and you're very close to the freeway but I don't mind that because I grew up near the freeway a bother my wife a little but not too much the bedroom was very quiet and relaxing they had this little machine if you wanted to drown out the noise of the cars I'm guessing but we thought it was pretty quiet on its own the hotel is like living in a little apartment we really liked it it basically had everything you needed could have more usb chargers but that's okay I really like the kitchen because I'm not used to having a TV in there and me and my wife spend a lot of time in the kitchen I love the outside patio area it was small but just enough room and had a lot of privacy I spent a lot of time out there I love the succulents that's my one of my favorite plants there was a lot of white gnats outside but that was only during the day at night and evening wasn't too bad plenty of parking out front the hotel is not packed on our second day we went for a dip in the pool because it said it was heated online it is not piping hot but it's definitely enough to get in the water when the air is only 50°the pool area was really cool and accommodating it would definitely be fun to come back there in the summer I definitely recommend staying here and checking this place out

I have not stayed there yet. We booked through booking.com, the reservation could not be canceled. That's fine. We knew that. My aunt passed away a couple of days before our reservation. I contacted the hotel, and they told us that they would not charge us for the stay, even though it was not cancelable. They were very nice! Even though we couldn't make it this time, we will make it next time for sure. Thank you very much Shell Beach Inn. That is how to run a business.

The place was great, the only complaint we had was the bed was uncomfortable, it was sunken in on each side, but other than that it was a great experience. We will definitely be staying there again.

I booked through Misterbandb and checked in late, which was hands-off and appreciated (as an introvert). The photos I saw gave me a preview but I was still taken aback at how nice my room was. It had a masculine but chic vibe. I appreciated the Zorro's discount; it was so good. Coming back next time I'm on the central coast.

Adorable place, perfect for our getaway! Loved the suite and having a kitchen. Enjoyed listening to the records. Fabulous location, walked down the street to take in the ocean views and sunset. Very clean, wonderful service, highly recommend.

This place hit all the marks I was looking for on our honeymoon road trip. It is quaint, well maintained, intimate, and oh so cute!
Shower pressure was great, plenty of towels and blankets (I love blankets!), and everything felt so welcoming.
Took us a bit longer to get from San Francisco to Pismo and Denise sent instructions and made it so easy to check in after hours. They even left a little surprise for our honeymoon 🥰
This is walking distance to a few eateries, minutes from the pier in pismo, easy drive to SLO (where my husband went to college so that’s one of the reasons we came to this part of California).
If we are ever in this part of the world again, I will absolutely be staying here.

Here are the good things:
-Heated pool and a nice patio for hanging out after the sun goes down😍
-Pool towels free to use!
-Wireless charger in the room.
-Popcorn in the room along with hot chocolate, a bottled water, coffee machine, etc.
-A nice shower with a blow-dryer and makeup station with a stool
-Comfy bed
-Fan and AC
-Extreme walkability to Zorro’s and other local businesses, as well as Dinosaur Caves Park (which has a beautiful view of the ocean and lots of birds).
-Friendly staff (thank you Connie for your tour and hospitality, and Dana for setting up my room)
Overall, it was very nice staying here.
However, the TV options were abysmal and less than what is advertised on the website. As a solo traveler, this was a major bummer because I had planned a movie night as one of my main activities after dark, only to find out that they don’t have On Demand streaming anymore. This left me with about 12 live channels to watch and it took me out of the vacation mood to watch one re-run of the Office before nothing else good was on. There wasn’t even Disney or HBO available.
Now I get that most people are not traveling here to watch TV but that really took my experience down a notch. Shouldn’t matter if you don’t plan to watch TV but it’s good to know regardless.
Also, there are no stairs to the ocean as the website suggests :( but beaches are short drives away.
Nevertheless, I appreciated my stay here.

Have just stayed overnight at this hotel on a roadtrip across America and I wish I was staying longer than 1 night. The rooms are spotless and the staff are super helpful. Only option for me was 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thank you Shell Beach Inn! You were a saviour on a last min, late night trip (friends mum was not with us much longer).
I'm super picky about my bed, and usually can't get comfortable on most mattresses (almost all are too soft, and offer no support). Your beds were wonderful, fluffy, yet firm.
Bedding was crisp and clean. Room was spotless, too. (I check everything lol)
I didn't have any dinner, nor was I really hungry, but I hadn't eaten all day, so the popcorn was a wonderful thought, and meant more than you know.
The only negative, is the coffee. It isn't very good. I don't know if it's the machine, or filter, or bottled water, but both packets of sugar, and all 4 packets of yucky artificial sugar, could not mask the bad taste. (Room 5)
But now I know that, when I do stay with you again (and I WILL), I'll just bring my own, or buy a coffee.

Fantastic hotel! We received a very warm welcome from Connie. The hotel room was beautifully and tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean, with every comfort you could wish for. They've thought of everything: earplugs, toiletries, a cooler with ice, a microwave, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, and even popcorn. The room also features a cozy electric fireplace and air conditioning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay near Pismo Beach.

We just enjoyed a three night stay in the suite with our adult son who is stationed at Vandenberg AFB. What a delightful place! The succulent plants placed all around the motel were gorgeous! The suite was very spacious and superior over many Air B and B’s we have frequented. Spacious, comfy beds, fully to stocked kitchen and lots of extra little touches. My son loved the retro record player. It was a little loud, but the earplugs provided, drowned out the road noise. I would definitely return to the Shell Beach Inn!
Nearby activities: Restaurants, shopping and the ocean are nearby.
Walkability: Very close to restaurants and views of the ocean.
