Would not use this company, unlicensed, uninsured and if you do enough research there is multiple companies opened under the same name, delayed projects, slabs broke in their shop, just a horrible experience, pay more and get a real company to do your workChidostone pro work is connected with them and golden state counter tops

They did a great job on out kitchenette counter top for our rental unit. They were fast and the countertop is perfect.

Allan promised and took money to add more countertops but has not showed up, its been over 6 months. he keeps stalling us, it's been one of the most frustrating experience for us. we reach out to him almost every week, most of the time he does not pick up or respond to texts and the rare occasions he picks up, he promises again that he would come on a particular day but never shows up again.I would recommend to stay very far away from this business if you are expecting any professionalism.Also would recommend not to pay anything upfront until the job is done, otherwise you will be stuck like us. Read the other 1-star reviews, before you consider them.

I am so happy to have found Allan and this company for my kitchen countertops. He made the process very easy. He is very responsive and does great work! I had found quartz that I liked and he was able to get it, fabricate and install it for a decent price. We cut our bar height down and what a difference it has made. You can barely see the seam where the 2 large pieces come together. I'm so happy with the result and we are having him do both bathrooms too.

The scheduled countertop installation was delayed more than once and communicating with Allan was a huge challenge. I couldn't reach him by phone and he wasn't responding to my texts. He eventually responded and we scheduled the install. During install, we noticed that one slab was cut too small. Although I explicitly asked for equal overhang, including around the peninsula, the front side of the peninsula was installed with no overhang. Allan was not at the job site during installation, so I texted him about this problem and sent him photos. He insisted that "being flush with the doors is an overhang" but this is not accurate and inconsistent with what we discussed. I was explicit about having equal overhang all around. Right now the junction between the countertop and cabinet is visible and just looks bad (see photo). I am hopeful he'll fix this, but I haven't heard back from him yet.

Huge thanks to Alan and his team. They absolutely took my vision and transformed my kitchen into my dream. Alan was patient and sincere. This is a small family business, and its the personal touch for me. His team is talented. They can do it all from counters to tile to basic plumbing. He covered my existing island with slabs and did a unilteral waterfall which turned out beautiful. The work looks perfect and Alans source of quartz is the best (and I am super picky). I would not hesitate to use him for my upstairs bathrooms. Thanks Hugo and Alan!!!

If you want an honest and communicative contractor don't call Golden State Countertops. Alan doesn't honor his word and totally disappears rather than communicate like a professional. I had to get a new sink so the holes in my slab were wrong. Alan graciously agreed to come back and redo the hole when I received the new sink. Upon its arrival I text Alan, they way we had always communicated, NO response. I sent him the exact same text several days - NO response. I again sent a text and let him know I could see he read my texts -- still NO response. I called his number and he text me asking if he could call me later -- NO call back; never heard from him. Alan and his crew have very poor customer service. His crew came to my house and didn't talk to me until they were finished with the job. Do yourself a favor don't use Golden State Countertops. They seem to be used to poor reviews.

Allan reached back out to us and got the bathroom countertop done. It looks wonderful, just like the kitchen. Could improve on communication here and there but nonetheless, they do a really good job. We are happy with our new kitchen and bathroom countertops.

Allan is very professional and does a great job installing countertops! Would recommend that you reach out if you have any countertop work. When I first reached out he was quick to come give me an estimate and let me know exact dates of when him and the team would be available to do the install. Also Allan was able to go pick up my quartz countertops that I bought from a store in Hayward! Thanks again for installing my countertops and highly recommended him to anyone in the Bay Area!

Alan was very easy to work with and provided a great product for living room. We were seeking a small piece of quartz for our hearth and he met us in his lot to look over remnants. He provided us with good advice on our choices and ultimately delivered a product that we really liked. Alan was flexible and professional to work with. We are very happy with the result.
