It looks really nice inside and the service is great. John did my manicure, Monica did my pedicure, and Randy was my entertainment lol. Great staff. I made an appointment and it was very packed when I came in, but my appointment time was honored, will be booking again.

I’ve been coming here for a whole year. I book an appointment for my day off. They wait till I get there to tell me that they canceled my appointment because I am too picky. If I am paying for a service, of course I want it to be done correctly. Do not get your nails done here if you want your nails done right

Got the Rose & Champagne Pedicure with a Gel french tip! And it was nothing short of amazing. I just recently moved to the area so I blind tested it out. I was given the menu book and my GOODNESS. So many options. I thought to myself “how ACTUALLY different are these options?” But this was genuinely what it described.
The package was really good. They actually used champagne, fresh fruit & roses on me. The massage was so relaxing, the drink (to actually drink) came with the package, they even used the wax from the candle.
I literally almost fell asleep. Best pedicure I’ve had in awhile that didn’t make me feel guilty for the price.
Omg and the massage chair had a seat warmer.
They take zelle, venmo & cash app if you don’t have physical cash.

Horrible customer service I called 2 weeks ahead of time they wouldn’t let me book the appointment called the day of my daughter’s birthday they tell me they’re booked up and can’t get me in! He didn’t understand what I was saying and just told me he couldn’t help me! Will never go back there again!

After years in pittsburg, it's nice to see Vicky and Jimmy's business existing with some og employees. Years of service and many connections have brought many memories. Tragic because of the loss of their daughter, I still remember breathing their passion when they did own it those years ago. Even though they changed, so did the people. You can still find Jimmy and Vicky to this day, just not where you remember them.
Whoever's hands it is on now, I hope it continues to exceucte the same familiarity it brought me growing up in pittsburg.
My first review 8 years ago and to my memories, I hope they stay fun and continue to not chip my nails.

The man who sits in the front of the salon who is in charge was very rude to me. I asked him to fix 4 regular gel nails because the paint had came off. He said they did not have the color. The color is Ballet slipper. I found it on their nail thing and then he said I had to replace color on all my fingers. I told him I would pay the full price but I did not want to replace my whole hand because I did not have time. He then said they did not have time. He simply did not want to paint my nails and that’s fine but maybe changing his Iine of work should be considered. I am a loyalty member here, recommend this place to everyone who asks me about a good nail salon, and come here often with my kids. I don’t want to pull the racist card but he was more than happy to help a white woman who walked in with no appointment during his conversation with me. I encourage everyone to spend their money where every race is respected. I will not be returning here.

I’ve been going to The Nail Shop for a few years now and as time progress, I’m starting to notice that there is a difference in between on how they treat their customers based on race. I’m an African-American and normally I get extended nails, which means I get extra long or XXL nails. Which I always end up paying 120+ plus tip not including a pedicure. Anytime I try to call and schedule appointment they try to make it seem like they’re busy based off of my name. Me and my mother been going here for a little while and starting to notice how they treat us compared to the other customers. They charge for small things like curving your French tips cuticle cuts, and get upset when you’re asking them to fix something that you don’t like or that is wrong. Then will offer you another service, but once you’re done with other service, they tell you to come back the next day. Now they’re charging $50 just to book appointment they’re overcharging for deposit fees.

Rude ,unprofessional and failure to communicate.This place is close to me since I have moved this way.Ill be driving all the way back to Pinole.State Board needs to check this place out and license.Very alarming!!!!

They have a lady named Katie and she is the go to nail person she gets basic and a little more detailed work done very nicely. She tries to make sure her work is not only good enough for you but her as well!! For feet there is a younger lady who does toes well. They are my go to for sure.

Ivy!!! Ivy!! Ivy!!! That's it that's all. She's a perfectionist and I love it immensely I even let her freestyle. She truly is a nail tech, nothing short of it. She's also really sweet! Tip well, not because you have too, but she deserves it !

I cannot stress this enough, book online and pay a $10 deposit. If you pay in cash, after 6x you get 20% off! Definitely worth if you get your fills often.
