Los Gallos.. this is while in the wall Mexican family style Mexican restaurant you e been looking for. The food is exceptional, and the generational family run staff is very friendly and helpful.I love their chile verde burrito, wet with green sauce.. it’s a go to almost every visit here, but the chips and salsa are very good too.My friends and family all have their favorite plates as well, but the best thing about this place is spot is their prices. For those who don’t know, they still have their prices set from the 80s.. or at least it feels this way. It’s a funny thing to think you could grab a Del Taco burrito for more money than an authentic, tasty, sizable, delicious one only one block away at Los Gallos.I normally tip much larger here to help them out, as they, in my humble opinion, do not charge enough for their food.

I had a platter of beans and rice with a shredded beef taco, a cheese enchilada and a cheese stuffed chili con Carne! The price was only $10.75 as of 10/26/23. I would recommend also came with free chips and salsa, the salsa was perfectly spicy. I washed everything down with an ice cold beer in a frosty mug!!

It's not a modern atmosphere, and the one waitress is a bit overstretched during the lunch hour when I usually go there. But the food is good standard Mexican food the way grandma used to make, AND THE PRICES ARE UNBELIEVABLY LOW.My mom likes the hard-shelled taco or taquito combo. My dad likes the carnitas burrito (sometimes wet). I like the enchiladas or the chile relleno combo. Last week, the 3 of us went for lunch and ordered our favorite dishes, two of us had a Pepsi, and one of us had a beer. I think the total was $41 !!! Definitely pre-covid prices.

We came at 3 on Friday. Waited 10 minutes to be seated and never saw anyone but 1 cook in the kitchen. After waiting that long and seeing no one, unfortunately we had to leave.

Found this small Mexican eatier while searching for authentic Mexican cuisine. While the restaurant has the look and feel of a local and family run restaurant, the service and taste leave much to be desired.I was surprised that the only seafood entree they offered was shrimp enchiladas or fajitas. I chose the later and was thoroughly disappointed by both the lack of shrimp and the horride taste of the guacamole (watery with an after taste that would only go away with soda). I think I counted four pieces of shrimp but a bunch of green peppers, onions, and grilled tomatoes. My fajitas came with two small flour tortillas. At least the beans and rice were a nice touch and tasted what it should be.The service was ok. The chip bowl never seemed empty since the server would always replace the bowl even if not empty. Two types of salsa were provided and it was ok. Another server seemed to be in a rush yet gave a smile while taking our order. At the time of our visit the restaurant I noticed about only 4 tables with patrons.Kid-friendliness: Few kids choices. Small servings. However cost is appropriate.
