“If you get the chance, you must visit this carnicería!! It is an amazing spot with high quality and authentic meats. A must for your carne asadas, and every bite will be juicy and rich with flavor!! The owners are super nice and helpful:) Everyone there will make you feel welcomed!”
“Old school meat market. Everything you would need every cut meticulously done packaged food fresh cut wonderful when looking for a meat market you can't possibly want anything better.”
“If you’re looking for fresh baked goods, fresh produce, and the most amazing meat selection you should come here. Very friendly staffed and I’m told that it’s a family owned business. The girl at the register, Basak, was very friendly and helped me find an item that I couldn’t find.”
“Recommend 1000%
Eggs get so fluffy when you cook them?
Chicken ? is really flavor-ful.
Bread is OK
Haven't tried there mole selection that will be next review!!!!”
“I'm sure it's been said before, but this is not the regular Costco. This place carries different items or the same items in different packaging. No clothes, no gas, no food court. Just serious business shopping.
Set up more for retail shops and offices, you'll find truly bulk items in everything. Meats, cheese, Sodas, seafood, vegetables... large packages. That doesn't mean you can't use it at home. Just keep on mind that some items don't come in boxes of cans, it may be in 120oz cans such at tomato sauce or olives. Or you may find 30 lbs of shrimp.
Keep an eye on the coupons in your mailer. They will sometimes list fantastic deals on somethings. 65 taquitos for $9!! Feeds a party easily.”
“I had stopped by for some meat for my hotpot dinner. The meat quality is fantastic. 5/5 would buy again. The proprietor’s mother was so nice and kind to me and the pickled veggies were divine!”
“I LOVE this market! It is a half hr from me but we make a trip every so often because it is just the best. The owner is truly a kind and wonderful person who is so passionate about sharing his cultural cuisine! Fear not if you have no idea what you are looking for going in, he will not make you feel dumb or belittle you. He will help you find exactly what you need and give you all kinds of recommendations. Every time we go I come out with something new to try and it is always so good. Plus, he stocks some delightful treats in there as well, like hard to find milka bars. His meat selection is brilliant, it is all raised on his farm! So you know that you are getting the freshest of the fresh and that it is a lot more ethically raised than factory farms. This market is such a gem and I am so thankful for it! Go check it out!”
“We had been buying at Vua Kho Bo all the times but this time we decide to give 168 a try because the service at the other place gotten worse; they really dont respect their clients at all. The service at 168 was great, friendly, and the taste of the jerkies are really good too!! COMEEEEE!! It’s amazing !”
“This meat market is the best in our area. I love getting their marinated chicken and carne asada. It's very flavorful, especially if you grill them. The owners are very friendly and always very warm and gracious. The market is clean, tidy, and organized.”
“I’m so happy to find a small, local meat market! It doesn’t look fancy, but the shop is clean and the service is quick. The prices are lower than your average, chain grocery store, and they have a good variety of meats that are nice quality. It’s a good option if you want meats in Asian marinades, and they have steaks as well. If you’re looking to make a big purchase of something specific for a party, I would call in advance to reserve an order, though.”
“Im at this Superior like every other day there is one employee who is always on top of organization, great customer service, and amazing sense of urgency. I believe his name is Ricky. Give this man a raise, please.”
“This is the best meat market in the Los Angeles area, including Orange County. We're very fortunate to have discovered it. Outstanding meats at reasonable prices, and very friendly service.”
“Great place to buy bread and biscuits. Try the jalapeno and cheese biscuits also the wheat and the white bread is delicious. And don't forget to get some beef jerky to go.”

“This is an amazing place for ceviche! It's juicy, sour, freshly made and the store is clean! Taco Tuesdays definitely is worth the drive. Carne asada is succulent and flavorful.”
“They’ve been here awhile and are the only Mexican market around here. it’s too bad they don’t offer credit card options. Only cash but still they are friendly and clean place. Very convenient if you forget lemon or onion for dinner. They have drinks and beers as well as selectable meats you may need and if you catch him on a good day he will even make tacos for you.”
“Very friendly staff and delicious tacos!! Had a taco de buche it was amazing. And their carnitas with cueritos were to die for! Will be coming back for more tacos next time we're back in Cali.”
“Quite unique (up scale) local Mexican market. Easy parking, clean and plenty of stuffs both Mexican and products and international. They do have fresh meats, and cooked plus Great & plenty baked goods. Good spread but can bit abit small isles, but workout well. Plenty of Mexican soda & liquors and US sodas. Staff are nice helpful. The place is will lite and nice organized with good vibe.”
“Good morning, it seemed like a very good store. It's the first time I've gone in to buy. I liked their food. They have a good price and the products they sell.”
“Now they have the best bolillos I know in a 15 mile radius. Take it from a Mexican, Mexican pan lover. At 44¢ per bolillo that is a good size, perfect crunchiness, plenty filled inside with both parts (inside and out) tasting good and soft. And they last a few days in good condition and you can reheat them without them hard or chewy.
I am not traveling 15 miles to Maywood for good bolillo since there's a Superior Market near me.”
“This place is so good for meat ? always like getting the taco meat, give you a good amount for the price. They have so many other types of meat from chicken and pork and ribs and other meats even have marinated meats and they have them nice and cut perfectly and the people working are super friendly and they also have a market inside with other food items and market items”
“We have been buying meat and different products here and the truth is that they have very good quality meats that are always fresh and cut to taste, everyone who works here is good people and they serve very well, my respects...?”

“Love this place. They have everything you need to throw a great party and very reasonable price. We bought a shoulder blade cut, snow crabs, crawfish, and it turned out amazing. Our guests kept on complimenting and that how we knew. Highly recommend!”
“This place is also called “Premium Meat & Food Market” on Google maps. But when you get here, I don’t think there’s a sign that indicates that.
I purchased a half tray of galbi (about 6 lbs), beautifully gift wrapped and put on ice (meat was not frozen) for about $113. They also have some banchan, Kimchee, and other cuts of meats. I will be back again!”
“We purchased Settler’s Jerky yesterday. It is sooo delicious. I love soft jerky and my son loves it more dry. This was the perfect mix of both. The flavors we tried are hickory, teriyaki and sweet and spicy. OMG. Highly recommended. Represented by Trevor who is a good guy. Friendly, easy to work with and is very passionate about the products. (Notice the bag is empty. lol)
Highly recommended.”

“El Toro Carneceria has been a staple in my life for as long as I can remember. I started coming here as a young child with my parents, and now, as an adult, it’s my go-to spot for high-quality meats and delicious ready-to-eat prepared foods. This place holds a special place in my heart, and it’s easy to see why it’s so beloved in the community.
The selection of meats here is outstanding. Whether you’re looking for perfectly marbled cuts of beef, tender chicken, or specialty items like chorizo and carnitas, El Toro Carneceria has it all. The quality is consistently top-notch, and the prices are reasonable for the value you get. It’s no wonder the place can get crowded at times—good things are worth waiting for!
In addition to the incredible meat selection, I love browsing their market section. They have a fantastic variety of groceries and authentic Mexican products, from spices and sauces to fresh produce and pantry staples. It’s a one-stop shop for anyone looking to recreate traditional Mexican flavors at home.
The ready-to-eat prepared foods are another highlight. Whether it’s their flavorful tamales, savory tacos, or fresh salsas, everything is made with care and tastes amazing. It’s perfect for those days when you want a quick, delicious meal without the hassle of cooking.
Despite the occasional crowds, the service is always efficient, and the staff is friendly and helpful. El Toro Carneceria has managed to maintain its charm and quality over the years, and I’m so grateful to have this gem in my neighborhood. If you haven’t visited yet, do yourself a favor and stop by—you won’t be disappointed!”
