“I did regular maintenance from a dealership which I will not name even though i’ve been going there for many years for this reason. I was printed out what was wrong with my car and it showed my rear drum brakes are in need of maintenance asap and it will cost $700 and change. I don’t have that kind of money. The headache and anxiety driving to work thinking my car has a less effective brakes. I took it to Von Auto Care and spoke with Chandler. quoted me a reasonable price for my peace of mind. It’s a small shop hidden in the back corner. Chandler called me after diagnosing my brakes and told me my brakes are good. I was shocked! the dealership would’ve robbed me $700 for nothing. I offered to pay Chandler for his time and he kindly refused and told me to pay it forward. I don’t know what to say. “I have a 2004 Infiniti g35 that I have had since I was 16. It was my first car and it has a lot of sentimental value to me. I took my car to Tokyo Automotive last week for an oil leak. They did a full inspection on the car and found a few other things that needed to be repaired. To fix everything at once was a little bit out of budget for me so I had them only fix the oil leak which was my main concern given that I don't drive the car as much as I used to. It's kind of just my weekend car. The staff was incredibly helpful, very professional and friendly. They made me feel very comfortable leaving my car here given the sentimental value. Their front office and shop are nice and clean and well organized. They fixed my oil leak and installed my aftermarket skid plate underneath in a very timely manner. I had a good feeling from the moment I walked in that they were going to take care of me. As you may read in other reviews, their labor costs are a little higher than some other places. Not any higher than a dealership would charge you. TRUST ME when I say you get what you pay for when it comes to mechanic services. I learned the hard way at my old mechanic shop that cheaper is not always better. I feel so relieved now knowing that I can take my car here. Absolutely 5 star everything. I will be back in the near future to fix the other issues with my car. Thank you guys so much for taking care of my car as if it were your own:)”
