This location continues to suck. (Exception, the two older gentleman night managers are awesome. Always polite and helpful, fun to chat with.) The younger guy who works closing, Luke, is rude, condescending, lazy and dismissive. Tonight he's leaning on the checkout deep in personal conversation with the do-nothing night cashier, (Debbie?) who is also consistently rude. I asked for a particular product, he immediately tells me if I don't see it they're out. No offer of assistance. I find it online available in this store, again ask where I can find it. He and the cashier aggressively start telling me if I don't see it on the shelf it's not available!! I ask if he can look it up. He's pissed but he does it, humming and tapping on the checkout to his own special beat to be sure I know he's SO above all this. (Keep your day job,Luke). Shockingly he appears to read the item actually is IN STOCK!!! He walks to the area where he told me it would be located; not there. He goes to another area, looks, can't find it. I walk over and find 8 packages of the product 6 inches from where he's looking. If you're going to be a complete jerk to people at least have the smarts to back it up. As I leave he's back to reclining on the checkout stand, glued to his cel phone. He sarcastically mumbles at me to have a good night. Great management.

Normally fairly good. Tonight they get an F, for mixing shampoo/cleaning items with produce in the same bag. Sadly, the last time they put eggs on top of the bread and chips. Their Boxboys need training before handling people's groceries.

Every time I've been there within the past 3 months, the Ralph's on Rose in Placentia has been extremely understaffed. The staff that IS there is extremely unhelpful. I am now committed to making the longer drive to Stater Bros. I'm done. No, I do not want to do your job and do my own check out. Nope. NOPE.

I have been coming to this location since it opened. Over the last year, the new manager has taken this store from a decent to poor. There is never any staff working and it does not matter what time of day. From the Deli to the Bakery. Very limited staff. However, the big this is to watch for expired and spoiled food items. Example, bread that has expired is still on the shelves. In addition, dairy products, ie. milk expired and frozen food items spoiled. Example, purchased a frozen pizza December 1. Didnt think to check if it expired. Went to make it a week later and noticed that the pizza expired October 15, 2023. So you need to watch what you buy at this location. Contacted Corporate regarding the alarming trend and no response. So take your chances when shopping at this Ralphs location.

Employees working in the deli area are getting sore shoulders (repetitive motion injury) from operating the meat/cheese slicer. Because they are getting sore shoulders, they often cut the meat/cheese thicker than what the customer requested to reduce the repetitive motion. I often receive thinly sliced meat as opposed to the shaved meat I ordered. Furnishing the Deli with an "automatic meat slicer with integrated scale" would remedy the issue. One has to wonder why Ralph's tolerates a situation where employees are getting repetitive motion injuries and providing less than quality service as a result.

Self checkouts are a hassle. Lady attendant not attentive. Off talking with other people. Self checkouts won't let you finish and pay if you say zero bags. Waited for attendant but she never came and stayed talking with other in isle away from checkout. I left everything and walked out. Won't be back. Also they never have more than 2 checkouts working. This as bad as Walmart.

It’s a hit and miss with this location. Recently there was a price discrepancy. Asked the cashier about it , even showed a photo of the price displaying the product and the offer. She said confirmed and just shrugged her shoulders. It’s uncomfortable having to discuss something like that. I said oh, it’s false advertisement and she said well it’s not ringing up like that. She didn’t ask a supervisor or confirmed. And the line started to get long, so I didn’t want to have a discussion about it. So always check the prices they are charging. They can be overcharging you.

I usually go to the Ralphs in Villa Park. I visited this Placentia Ralph’s on Monday at about 4:20 pm; It is not far from my office. I purchased 8 piece fried chicken, potato wedges and some pumpkin pies. I went to my car and tried the potato wedges, because I was kind of hungry. Unfortunately, it was dried, stale and hard to chew! So I decided to bring them back. When I arrived at the register inside, I was told to see the store manager named Shanna. She happened to be walking toward me. So I greeted her. She didn’t even greet me back; instead she was just walking away saying; “I am going to lunch” with an agitated look! I was totally shocked by her rude and unfriendly treatment! She could have courteously asking me to see one of the employees! Since she is a manager, she should have spared a couple of minutes to help her customer, instead she treated me like a second class citizen!!! I think it’s because I am not white like her? Otherwise she wouldn’t be acting so unprofessional, uncourteous and absolutely RUDE!!!She is not fit to be a manager. She is making Ralphs looks REALLY BAD!!! I wouldn’t recommend anybody to even step their feet to this terrible Ralphs!

Only one check stand open. They kept on asking us to use self check out. The checker was rude and charged me for 8 bags but only used 6. So I asked for two more and give them to the guy behind me to use.

I came in on 11/1 to buy eggs at night. My family is sick so I just wanted to get in and out and saw the eggs were on sale with a digital coupon. I didn't know you had to create an account to use coupons so I let the person behind me go in front of me. I created an account and waited. Once it was my turn I said I wanted to use the digital coupon and the cashier Debbie J right away gave me attitude. She asked if I clipped the coupon as if she was moments away from eye rolling at me. I had clipped the coupon. She then asked if I had a Ralphs card. I didn't. She then looked me in the eye and spoke to me as if I was stupid and said "you...need...a...Ralphs....card" with long pauses in between words. She then asked if I wanted a card. Absolutely not. Maybe if she was nicer I would be inclined to sign up for a card. When I said no thanks she then said "well you can't use the coupon without a card" I told her I just want the eggs and don't care about the coupon. I left immediately. Debbie J was so off putting that my family won't be coming back to Ralphs.

First time coming to this store. Everyone was so helpful, I was at the seafood counter just checking out the selection. No one was behind the counter, someone came out very promptly asking me if I needed help. I told him I was just browsing the selection. He was so friendly and eager to help. Then I noticed a man at the self checkout helping someone who was stuck. He was trying to assist everyone at the same time. He really did do a good job of keeping the flow going. He was very timely and accommodating to everyone there. I think his name was Carlos. Great job I would recommend this place

Fresh Produce with great selection at high prices. Somewhat hard to shop Isle as they were clutter with merchandise stacked so customers had to walk single file.It seemed every bit of floor spacewas taken.Store overall, very clean and well stocked. Staff all very helpful andprofessional with friendly cashier's.Plenty of parking and handicap parking.

WORST grocery store EVER! I hate this Ralphs. Attitude, management, "customer service" (NONE). I had to go b to management to get some help in service deli, because the little girl that does not want to be in that department told me I would have to wait 10 minutes because she was "behind", and the only one there. Well, CUSTOMERS are supposed to come first. Management fought me saying there was no one else to help, but sent Arnold, and deli girl turned around and packaged roasted chickens, even when new people came behind me for service. SHE completely ignored everyone. Just ridiculous!! Store NEEDS new management and appropriate, service oriented staff IMMEDIATELY! PLEASE STOP spending your money on store remodels and moving product around, it is getting ridiculous too, and getting rid of products people WANT to replace them with KROGER products!! I hate this store with a passion, but cannot get around, and your company is NOT in it to serve customers in any way. I wish this store would disappear for good, because it sucks!!!
