Abysmal Customer Service and Unprofessional Behavior
If I could give zero stars, I would. This company’s customer service is a textbook example of how NOT to treat customers. I scheduled a service for a specific date, but they showed up on a completely different day when I wasn’t home. Then, instead of taking accountability for their mistake, they rescheduled. When they finally arrived, the technician refused to service my tank because it’s painted green.
Here’s the kicker: they’ve serviced this same green tank before without any issue. In fact, they were literally at my property just a week earlier, saw the tank, and rescheduled the service—only to refuse it on their second visit! It’s as if they go out of their way to waste your time.
Their excuse this time? They claimed heat could cause the tank to expand and create a dangerous situation. Fine, I understand that, except it’s 50 degrees outside, and we’re entering a six-month stretch of cold weather. How does that logic hold up now? And isn’t this also why tanks are only filled to 80% capacity? Their reasoning feels more like an excuse than a legitimate safety concern.
To make matters worse, the technician had the audacity to complain about some dog poop near the tank, acting as if his boots were made of gold. Really? If you’re so bothered by mud or dirt in your line of work, perhaps consider a different profession.
This company’s lack of communication, consistency, and common sense is staggering. Completely unreliable and a waste of time. Save yourself the frustration and find someone else. You’ve been warned!

The propane truck got stuck in my driveway, broke my fence, damaged my pavement with chains, and ruined my bushes! Dave the manager refuses to call me back. They have not repaired or paid for the damages.

Rude people, managers ability to handle conflict is laughable, this guy threatens to come and take my propane because I lost my job and couldn't afford the bill, I tried to set up some payments with him 300$ this month than monthly after that until I'm caught up, after they overfilled my tank on two separate occasions without my consent, shady business practices, horrible customer service. I tried to work this out so I can pay him but he and his dispatchers wanted to argue and insult me and my wife, shame on you guys, my wife has cancer she's a mother of 4 and one of our kids is autistic, life is hard enough without people like you treating us like that.

Love the team at 49R & highly recommend for anyone looking for propane service. Friendly, reliable, great service & reasonable pricing. We call when our tank is at 35% and they always get out to us within a couple of days to refill.

Not only does 49er Propane offer the best prices in town… They also offer the best customer service and repair service. I leak was detected in our underground service over the holiday weekend. After I dug up the line they quickly fit me onto their schedule to get the line repaired and our services back up and running. We had been without propane for 4 days so our Family was extremely grateful. Most impressive was the service repair man. Who quickly found the issue, fixed it better than it was before and did an appliance safety check on our propane appliances. One of the friendliest people you will ever meet. Thank you 49er propane. Just in time to weather the next storm!

Every three weeks a propane guy is supposed to fill up our tank on Route yet this is the second month in a row where there a week and a half late now my family and small children have no heat for yet another week.

They don't keep there appointments and won't even call you to tell you they won't show up to fill your empty tank and closed on Sat in the Winter.
