It's a gas station. It is what it is, and that's all that it is. You don't come here looking for excellent service or something spectacular. The snack selection was decent, and also was the beverage selection. You can get hot coffee on your drive up or down the mountain. The prices were okay but if you can find a better price, go there.

Cheap gas that's open 24 hrs on way to/from Tahoe Don't let the darkened lights fool you If you have a card, you can use the pumps even though the convenience store is closed A bit tricky to get to (it's north of US 50) and there's an In-N-Out in the area too (fuel up body and car before you schlep through 40+ miles of twisties to South Lake) See my tahoe list for related stuff Tip: Get gas prices on the fly / iphone (or web enabled) with

This was our gas stop/bathroom break on the way to South Lake Tahoe on Sun 9/2/07. One unisex bathroom inside the store had seat covers, tp, & soap. Unleaded gas $2.77 Plus $2.87 Super $2.98 Squeezee available too. Location: across from the El Dorado County Historical Museum.
