“Beautiful farm and an excellent farm stand with lots of great produce, meats, cheese, bread, canned goods, veggie starts, and a coffee bar. Try the hand made nut butters.”
“Great co-op with beautiful fresh produce and good stock in all departments. Support co-ops!! Lovely madrone on fence too, bonus heh heh. Really nice, dedicated staff. Beautiful community arts. Love it.”
“First visit. Plenty of visitors early in season. I could imagine seeing it with snow & more bodies. Plenty of arts and crafts to browse/ purchase. Donuts were (1 reason for our almost 2 hr drive ?) spot on. Terrain a bit unstable in areas(use caution when walking) and the parking might need more people/ guidance with higher capacity. Be patient. Many people, strollers& pups so use caution. Have fun.”
“Flavor King Pluots and Organic Kelsey Plums are sweet and juicy!Other special fruit varieties included Elegant Lady Peaches, Summer Lady Peaches, and Red Gold Nectarines. Peaches were huge. I had already loved and bought Elegant Lady Peaches from another farm that day, so I decided not to sample them here. I should have though! The adorable salesperson, Emma, allowed me to sample fruits and take her picture. All sales are done outside the building, which looked like a packing plant inside. Customers aren't allowed inside the building.Apparently, Ronald Reagan used to get fruit from this farm.Closing time is 5 pm. I went near closing, so there wasn't much fruit left, but what was left were all yummy, fresh, and high quality special varieties.”
“I love this place and do a yearly trip out there to spend a few hours picking various wonderful, delicious berries to bake a plethora of pies and goodies.
I would have rated them a 5, but in the last few years, their Facebook page has been lacking in helpful, consistent updates that are crucial in my planning my trip, as I live almost 90 minutes away from the farm and need to request time off from work in advance to go since the farm is not open on Saturdays. Back in 2021/22, they were regularly posting updates on what was in season, what was dwindling, etc. I go to this farm because it is one of few that has multiple blackberry variants, specifically olallieberries, boysenberries, and marionberries, and timing is always important for those since each season affects the crops differently.
In 2024 I regularly checked their page starting in mid-May, but there were only 4 posts:
1) 5/31/24: announcement of opening day on 6/2/24
2) 6/12/24: an ABC10 segment
3) 6/26/24: announcement that they were closing for the year on 6/28/24
4) 6/28/24: announcement that they were closed for the year
I had reached out on their 5/31/24 post to ask after the three aforementioned berry types, and was told that they'd post updates on Instagram and that I could call for updates as well.
I did call, I did leave messages but never got calls back. The only update about the berries was posted on their Instagram on 6/25/24. This put me in a position of needing to get a day off approved at the last minute otherwise I wouldn't have been able to go.
I am one of many people who want to support the farm, enjoy its harvest, and pass on that joy to family and friends in hopes they too would like to visit one day. As such, enhancing communication quality/information dissemination would be very helpful, so I might recommend that they assign someone to manage their social media (responding to emails/messages on FB/Insta/website) and maybe consider reviewing voicemails at the end of the day and responding the next day.”
“It was fun to visit and see the changes to the bakeshop that Holly and Jenny have made. The remodel makes for a warm and inviting feel and they have added some new menu items that are very tasty. Their new hand pies and scones are delicious! Oh and so is the sourdough bread! Well worth the drive to visit to indulge in some yummy treats.”
