German Auto Werks was great to work with. My VW wasn’t going to pass smog because the check engine light kept coming on, and they were super accommodating with my work schedule from the start. They fixed the issue, even when the light came back the first time, and made sure everything was right. Thanks to them, I passed smog today. Highly recommend!

This shop has been such a great find! The owner Bryan and his guy Jaime are incredible!! Very professional, thorough, and always honest about what needs to be done. They take the time to explain everything clearly and never make you feel pressured into unnecessary repairs, which is something I really appreciate. You can tell they take pride in their work and care about doing things the right way, and my car has never run better after bringing it here. On top of that, Maddie at the front is always so kind and helpful, making the whole experience smooth from start to finish. I feel completely confident trusting my car with this team and will continue to recommend them to anyone looking for a shop that truly delivers both quality and integrity!

German Auto Werks is hands down the best shop in Placerville for German cars and Hondas. The team is super knowledgeable, honest, and easy to work with. They explained everything clearly, did the work quickly, and didn’t try to push anything I didn’t need. Fair prices, great communication, and my car runs like new. I won’t take my car anywhere else.

German Auto Werks is hands down the best shop I’ve ever trusted with my vehicle. From the moment I
walked in, the staff treated me with professionalism, honesty, and genuine care. They took the time to
clearly explain the issues with my car, provided transparent pricing, and never tried to upsell
unnecessary work—something that’s rare to find these days.
The owner Bryan and his mechanics are clearly experts when it comes to foreign auto mechanics The quality of their work is
unmatched, and my car has never run better. What really impressed me was their attention to detail
and commitment to doing the job right the first time. They go above and beyond, making sure
customers leave with complete confidence in their vehicle.

What a great experience…I was visiting Placerville when my low coolant light came on in my Jaguar. This company answered their phone and got me in and my car fixed up within one hour of my phone call….They even checked my tires before they sent me back out on the road. I cannot thank them enough. I made it home safe and sound. 10 out of 10 experience.

My BMW x4 m4 was not recharging because of an old loose fan belt. Because I was away from home I called German Werks cause I was in that area and they took me in right away and fixed the original problem plus more work. Bryan, who purchased German Werks less than two years ago gave me a ride to the car rental agency. In that ride, Brian told me of his mechanical résumé, which was quite impressiveso I completely trust him.I highly recommend German Werks.

I was in a Bind. the lady at the counter knew what I was talking about over the phone ordered the part and it was there in 3 hours saved my day. The gentleman That helped me find the fuel line I needed very thankful.

Paid $1100 in repairs for my Audi just to have it throw the same codes soon as I left the lot. Mechanic claimed the codes were a seperate issue and demanded more money for the work. Stay away

Took my 2013 Jetta GLI here for numerous issues (some known and some unknown), and the team at German Auto Werks was able to quickly and thoroughly diagnose and fix the problems at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them for any service needed for your German vehicle! I'll definitely be back.

These guys are great. When i first got a Mercedes I was worried about when it came time to fix things that were out of my league, so it was a major relief to find this spot. I knew right from my initial conversation on the phone with Drew that they were honest, and I was surprised that he said they'd let me know the parts and procedures for fixing the issues myself if I wanted. Most places aren't cool like that. I opted to have them do the work, and it was very reasonably priced.
I feel much safer owning this car now, and its appreciated because I really like it. I feel like its less of a liability and out of my reach to own and repair as someone who isnt wealthy.
I definitely recommend this spot.

Best shop in town for all European cars. I go here for my oil changes for the past 3 years and they do a fantastic job. No price gouging just great honest workmanship and expertise. I don’t trust anywhere else. Jaime is great and will take care of you. You all rock!
