Maybe time for a new teller. Every visit I'm waiting 30+ minutes. Ridiculous when you have wait that long or drive that long to the next closest one.

Absolutely the worst place to bank with. they make it impossible to get your money when you need it. their ATM is always down , you can't use the online banking and their employees are completely incompetent.

Wait times are real long sometimes and having to wait to make an apt then trying to call to reschedule when no one answered the phone was inconvenient.

As a member for five years I have only had positive experiences with Golden 1. The Corporate ofice (on the phone), the local branch in Placerville and Folsom have been supper polite and kind. Overall I enjoy banking with them. My only gripes are the Golden 1 ATM's that seems to have software from 2000 and the fact that after dark the Placerville location is a bit sketchy with homeless.

I have been a member of the Golden1 credit union since I joined the PanAm credit union back in the late 1980's Having been a satisfied member for so many years it was disappointed to see the decline of your services. Today I called Golden1 to inquire about wiring funds from my account to a non-member account for the purchase of a vehicle. I live in Portland Oregon. I was told by your representative that it would be tricky but that it could be done. I knew it could be done because I did just that in June of 2016 when I wired money into a non-member account in Idaho for the purchase of a automobile (private party sale). I called Golden1back an hour later with the names of two local credit unions the seller did business with. During this conversation I was told I could not wire money into a non-member account unless I was physically present in a Golden1 branch office, again I like in Oregon where you have no branch offices. I explained that I had indeed done this type of transaction before but your representative told me I was wrong and that she had been with Golden1 for eight years and it was never your policy to allow transfer of funds to Non-member accounts. I tried to close my account, as I can't depend on a credit union I can not fully access from outside of California for these type of activities. Again after an extensive wait on hold I was told that a check I had deposited for $10,000. Was,"Being Returned" and that I could not close my account. This too was incorrect. The check was not being returned, in fact it had already cleared the issuers bank. In another conversation with one of your representatives a few minutes later I was told the check would not be cleared until February 28th. And that the Federal treasury had prevented the funds from transferring into my account, mind you no one from Golden1 had notified me of this delay.

I made a mistake and left a $7.99/mo auto-pay pulling money from my Golden 1 Account while I was in Basic for the Army. About half way through training my balance went negative, and with the fees I was about $150 negative by the time I got back to California. I went into the branch to settle my balance. As I was paying I apologized to the teller, told her I was in basic and didn't receive any notices, and her attitude immediately changed. She got snippy with me and I told her, "Can you close my account? I don't think I want to have one anymore." She gave me a little smirk and said "It doesn't matter. You've been expelled." Oh well. Navy Federal is better anyhow. Good riddance.

Came here to open an account and ended up getting talked down to by the rude teller because I didn't know where to sign in or that I even had to, I'll take my money elsewhere, you're not that special.

I am usually at the the Placerville location. Its very hard to work with a bank that doenst open TILL 10 and tellers that seem like they could care less, but i still bank with golden 1 primarily because of one associate, her name is Margaret and she is always a pleasure and helps me whenever given the chance. Thank you Margaret for you commitment to excellence. My family and I appreciate you very much.

DONT USE THIS BRANCH OR BANK. TERRIBLE SERVICE, UNHELPFUL TELLERS AND MANAGERS. I have never before had problems with golden 1 and have been with them for about 15 years and always had great things to say. After today, I only have terrible things to say about their policies and customer service. I currently have a temporary identification from DMV because I'm in the process of getting a real ID. I went to the bank today to take out money for an emergency and was told I couldn't access my account with a temporary ID, My old ID with a hole punched in it or my student ID. I understand everywhere has certain policies but they weren't even nice about it. The teller was incredibly unhelpful and told me to use the ATM which would only allow me to access half the money I needed. To make it all even worse, I called the golden one telephone number and asked to talk to a manager and was sent to the escalation department and spoke to Colandra, she was even more rude and inconsiderate than the teller. She told me she couldnt override the branch and it was the branches decision. So supposedly they could have accepted one of my many IDs and chose not to. Then she backtracked to say it has to be state or federally issued. So they literally dont even understand their own policies and are unable to provide satisfying customer service in the process.
