“While visiting historic downtown Placerville, we impulsively decided to stop at Roman’s Jewelers to browse engagement rings. Our intent was simply to shop around to get an idea of what options were available.

We were greeted by Alla (the owner’s wife), who helped me try on several engagement rings. Alla provided feedback and advice on ring setting designs, diamond specs., and pricing. There was absolutely no high pressure sales! I felt so relaxed and at ease throughout the entire process.

As it turned out, I liked a setting from one ring, but the diamond from another ring. Alla assured us that it would be no problem—she said Roman’s could remake the setting in my preferred metal (platinum), and she would shop around for a diamond to meet the specifications (4 c’s) that I liked.

Alla was so knowledgeable and easy to work with, that we ended up purchasing TWO rings that day! We bought a diamond solitaire that Roman’s was going to custom-make for me, and an estate item men’s wedding band for my partner.

Fast forward three weeks! Today, my partner proposed with the solitaire engagement ring Roman’s had made for us. I was stunned at how beautifully the final product turned out! The diamond Alla selected, the way the platinum setting was crafted, is so perfect! The finished ring far exceeded our expectations.
