We were in the area for Apple Hill Adventures, and took our son to this park before driving back home. There is a playground but no restrooms. And a small walking path around a pond. Would like to visit again.

When did the name change from Lumsden Park to Sally Kasper?I have enjoyed this parks in all it's stages. It's where I go, with my dogs, to enjoy the peaceful beauty it offers.Playground: Fun, joy, laughter, and safety is what I have watched happening in the playground. Sheesh, I have enjoyed the slides myself. Shhh, never could resist slides. ?Picnic area: Alas, there are only two picnic tables remaining, for now, but I put my blanket on the thick grass, drink coffee from my thermas, enjoying the seasonal creek, the trees, walking by the small lake enjoying just being there. ?

A nice playground area, a pond & a great grassy area with picnic tables 5 a BBQ. A great birthday party location. There's fishing allowed in the pond. A very quiet park seems to have very low traffic. No restrooms

This place would of received 5 stars ,but all the ducks are gone. Kids love the ducks. Been coming here off and on for 50 years. Half of the appeal at this park was taken away. Please tell me Placerville isn't turning into another Walnut Creek copy cat return the ducks.Playground: Nice play ground , no ducks to feed and the bathrooms are now gone. What has happened to this once beautiful park. Someone needs to put this park back the way it was.

BEWARE POISON OAK!!!Moisture from the wettest winter in 50 years has led to an increase in POISON OAK.I was at the park recently with my dogs and unknowingly sat down in a patch of POISON OAK. I now have a severe rash on the undersides of my knees and thighs that the ER doc told me will take 6 months to heal.

This is a very small park with no bathroom facilities, a couple picnic tables and just enough room to take your dog out for a nice walk around the lake on the walking trails that encircle the lake. This small park does see a lot of traffic during the afternoon hours Monday thru Friday while it remains fairly quiet all day long on Saturday and Sunday. You can fish in this lake if you would like to, a good starting point for the new fisherman in your family. There is a small playground and jungle gym as well at the entrance of the park. Mosquitos will also show you much love at this park and remind you just how close you still are to Mosquito Road. This park is open from sunrise to sunset.Playground: Small jungle gym at entrance of parkRestrooms: No restroomsDog-friendliness: Dog friendly walking trail that encircles the lake.Picnic area: A couple of picnic tables towards the entrance to park

Was surprised to see no more ducks and geese like when I was growing up in Placerville. The playground was clean and the grass appeared to be as well. There was a few bits of random trash that didn't make it into the trash bin so I helped them get there. I also saw a few ppl fishing and some just enjoying the picnic area. This was the most popular I'd ever seen the park on a weekday afternoon

They tore down the bathroom siting "homeless" as the problem when in all actuality it was rhe local kids vandalizing the bathroom. I have spoken to some of them. They said they used to paint the bathroom all the time. But, of course, the poor innocent homeless get blamed and the bathroom gets torn out. You better hope you don't have to use the restroom when visiting here. But otherwise it's an adequate park for such a small town.
