One step inside this beautiful shop and you'll feel like you're in a spa. I purchased several of their 'Among the Flowers' gift sets for holiday gifts and everyone loved them and they were shipped without an issue and boxed and wrapped very nicely. Will be shopping here again.

Great customer service and my mother also loves this establishment. I'm male but I found quite possibly the best rose water spray that I use now every night. Great place for nice gifts as well. I will be returning next time I'm in Placerville.

Smells amazing when you walk in and timeless linen clothing. They have re-fill items, bar soaps, and scents. So cute!

Edit: thankfully Megan was able to get in contact with the seller and maker of this piece and resolve the issue of the plate and refund us. We are very thankful for that though it was a little stressful to deal with initially when we tried to resolve with just the shop itself. The shop is very cute and we love supporting local, artisan businessesWe are so sad to write a bad review because this is a very cute shop but we want to make sure others know our experience with purchasing products. We purchased a food platter that immediately showed it was NOT food safe. We called the shop immediately within the two week “return policy” and was told the manager would call back. No one called back. My husband and I emailed and were told we were now outside the 15 day window and the item had to be “unused”. This is ridiculous as how else were we to find out that the item was not sealed properly for food service. Not only that but it looks terrible which was not the case when we used it and bought it. The item was INCREDIBLY expensive to add to this which adds insult to injury since we did do our due diligence in calling to share the issue with our purchase. We will be going through our credit card company to dispute this shop now. Such a bummer because we love shopping locally.

Nice-looking shop, bad customer service and terrible return policy.I’m writing a one star review because of the overall lack of experience my wife and I have received after purchasing a VERY expensive ($116) dinner platter from this shop. After ONE use, the platter is veined and appears like it’s cracking. I called twice to return it, no manager available. My wife and I both emailed, the shop manager only responded to my wife and not to me and quoted the shop’s terribly naive return policy of “15 days and UN-used.” How can you sell cups, bowls, kitchen utensils, and serving platters and expect them not to be tried first to make sure they’re food safe?At the time of purchase, I asked the associate if this platter was food safe? She wasn’t sure, so she looked up the manufacturer and it didn’t say yes or no on their website. I stepped out in faith that it would be okay given that the platter was with all of the cups, bowls, utensils, etc. I feel that I was tricked and deceived and the shop won’t take responsibility for selling products that are disguised as functional kitchenware, but in reality it’s just a fruit or bread platter.Moral of the story, DON’T take the risk of buying kitchen products from this shop or manufacturer if you’re concerned about food safety or having a product that lasts. What a pity.

This is the only store on Main Street that I will not support. In spring / summer 2020, the mask mandate was still 100% in effect indoors. Every other staff member in every other store on Main Street was wearing a mask. I walked in and the sales person wasn't wearing a mask, and neither was her co worker. I asked her if she could put on a mask & she refused, even after I pointed out it was required by the county. She claimed "we stay 6 feet apart." This is after she handed me something and was 6 inches from my face. I was interested in some of the kitchen tools, but based on their violations of the county health mandates, I felt uncomfortable and left. I commented on their Instagram, asking if this was simply a one off situation, or if don't follow the county mandates consistently. Many businesses at the time were hosting "high risk" shopping hours for people with more Covid concerns , or offering curbside pickup / shopping. None of this was offered as a compromise. Their reply was to DM me, demanding I not post my question on their IG. Then they blocked me. I spend a lot of money on Main Street and their reply to my reasonable question was to imply they don't want me as a customer. Very disappointing. I grew up here and always shop on main to support the local businesses, especially during the pandemic & since. I have been back a couple of times since, and their merchandise is also extremely overpriced. A bottle of shampoo there was $50 lol. The undies they sell fit horribly. They lack basic knowledge of their inventory - for example I asked if a kitchen brush was made of animal hair or plant hair. Basic stuff. Do not shop here. There are several other shops on main that offer a similar assortment, and the staff is infinitely nicer!

Gorgeous store with a really stellar selection of simple, beautiful pieces. There's clothes and decor but I loved how great it was for upgrading essentials around the house to something more aesthetically pleasing--like sponges, scrubbers, tooth brushes, etc. I'll definitely make a point to stop in next time I'm nearby.

I loved this quaint tiny shop. NOT ANYMORE! Won't be back, ever! For a business who considers themselves "healthy", why NO MASKS? Apparently they can measure & mix herbs and oils & call themselves "eco-friendly", yet have NO education regarding "nature". By not wearing masks, this reflects to me that Midnight Kin has no concern for the health of their community or the many visitors to our community.

The products they sell are very beautiful and make great gifts but I will stay away from here in the future due to the staff not wearing masks. First business I've seen with this happen and it was pretty shocking

I really love the products and the feel of this store (it's all beautiful!) but some of the staff is extremely rude and has a bad attitude. It really makes it uncomfortable to shop here and I would rather take my business elsewhere. Everyone has bad days but when every day is a bad day and you take it out on the people who come in to your place of work it is not nice. I went in again on sunday and am sad to say I won't be returning anytime soon.
