Thank you Frankie! Anna Marie helped us with our uHaul and was so sweet. We quickly realized when we went to pick it up that it was too small and she was very helpful with checking to see if they had any extra larger trucks for us. When that didn’t work, she referred us to their RM Frankie who was INCREDIBLE at helping us get this sorted within the hour. Super kind and understanding on the phone

I rented a uhaul and requested it to be picked up in placerville but the online site wanted me to pick it up 2.0 hrs. away from me....Liz at uhaul in placerville worked really hard to get the 15' truck to her site so that i wouldn't have to drive 2.0 hours.....she saved me money and time....thank you liz for exceptional work.

There is a worker here named LIZ. Just got off the phone, wouldn’t tell me her position after yelling at me for not picking up on time lol!!! I hope she gets fired, everyone else I spoke with had amazing manners and etiquette. This lady however felt the need to start yelling at me, and when I reminded her of her job and that she is to help people not let all her at home angers and emotions take place. She is completely raised from the barn up. Still would like to speak to an owner since she wouldn’t give me their name or number.

We went into this location to reserve a Uhaul in preparation for a move to Alaska, three months in advance. The woman behind the counter was helpful although rather slow, as she said the computer system was not functioning well and was slow. Everything was all set, so we continued making other preparations for the move and didn't worry about the truck.
Uhaul did not reach out a week prior to picking up the truck, as we were told they would do. Four days prior to picking up the truck according to the reservation, we went into the location to double check that the truck was good to go and get eyes on the vehicle. This is a very long trip with a lot of moving pieces, so obviously ensuring that the truck was in place was very important.
The same woman was behind the counter again. She insisted that the pickup date was different than what we reserved and that there was no truck for us. She again blamed the slow computers for issues and stated that we need to call Uhaul central since there was nothing she could do. She wasn't helpful, apologetic, and she really didn't seem to care about the fact that we reserved this truck and they did not follow through on the reservation.
Fortunately, we contacted Uhaul central and they provided the location 20 minutes away where we could pick up another truck. The Shingle Springs office is where we will go for any future Uhaul needs as they went above and beyond in customer service support and actual competence.
DO NOT go here to this Placerville Uhaul location. They are slow, incompetent, and don't adhere to reservation policy.

The good Great Staff except for counter person. The Bad Poor selection Charged extra day for being a little over 2 hours late on a 24 hour rental. This was one of two trailers on the lot, so I reserved it for my dump run. Line X called me at 11 am, I returned the call and reached the other counter not uhaul, said they would give message. After waiting in line at the dumps in 100 degree weather, I finally finished unloading, took trailer to the car wash to clean, and then back to U-haul. The counter person was rude and let me know I would be paying for another 24 hour rental for being 2.2 hours late. The .2 was waiting as she helped another customer for about 15 min. This is the first time EVER that U-haul has charged me for being a little late. I am never ever going to Line X Uhaul on Fair Lane again to rent a Uhaul. It really upset me and the rude unwavering treatment was unacceptable.
