I love this store. This is my go-to for finding unique, well-made, cute items of clothing that are so rare to find (lately) in the chain stores. They are always friendly and kind. I have also been consigning clothes here for a couple of years now, and it's a lot of fun to 'trade'.. as you get a better value that way, instead of taking cash for your clothes.

Recently I went into this store cause I saw a white blouse in the window. I went in and found it to see a price of $238.00 dollars. I asked is this blouse marked correctly? She said yes it was hard to not laugh. This is placerville not Beverly Hills. I couldn't help but notice that no one was in their store. I've driven by several times since then and noticed there was no customers.

Violets is a jewel on Main Street in Old Hangtown. Gently used and new items of clothing, purses, accessories, gifts and jewelry await female shoppers from teen to adult. Prices are very reasonable and treasures await the shopper. It's a regular stop for locals who like style and love consignment shops.

I have been going here for years. Denise always takes the greatest care in choosing clothes brought in for consignment. She has a great eye for fashion! All walks of life can find something... practical, dressy, hip, vintage, new, shoes, boots, jackets, hats, purses, you name it! She has done an AMAZING job with the space she has!! I ALWAYS find something in her shop, whether it’s for a wedding, reunion, party, work, exercise class, and honestly, just working in the yard comfortably (and looking good at the same time). She and all of her staff are ALWAYS helpful and friendly. I feel like a family member every time I walk in, even if it’s been months in between.
