Under staffed always, longest wait at a bank you will ever experience

Was left waiting for a considerable time in lobby. When finally approached by a lady, she roughly asked "what do you need?" I told her I was looking into possibly opening a new account. She then said I needed to have an appointment because they don't have enough people to accommodate walk-ins, and they are just too busy. They were having a busy moment... I'll grant them that. With that being said, it was the only time since I'd been there that there was even a line for counter help. As far as them not having enough people for "walk-ins," I'll say this: aren't the majority of people coming into a bank just a "walk-in"? As far as not having enough people to accommodate walk-ins, especially for something like a potential new customer wanting to open a new account, that is a short sighted way to look at the situation in my opinion. Also, 3 of the windows at the counter had 2 people at each one...1 was clearly being trained but the other 2 windows appeared to have personal and apparently quite humorous conversations occurring between the two employees at each of those windows.Needless to say, I left that location not making an appointment, nor do I plan to at any point in the future. For an industry dependent on numbers both in head count of members and dollars deposited; employees approaching people with such an overly irritated mannerism is something they may want to discourage going forward. Just my 2 cents and a thought from this simple walk-in.

Not my regular branch. My branch isn't open on Saturdays, this one is. Seems pretty busy. Came on 1st Saturday of the month. They had 3 tellers. I think they are having trouble finding proficient people. Last time I was here the teller made an error and miscounted by $10.

I took my elderly mother in law in today to open a new checking account. We got there BEFORE they opened and she was turned away due to the gentleman being too busy! You just opened! So we made a trip for no reason and was asked to come back! Unacceptable. I think we'll take her money elsewhere..

I had a question relating to my Wells Fargo mortgage. The gentleman who first helped was pleasant and accommodating; then a lady got into the conversation without really comprehending what I'd said.She was very patronizing, as though what I had to do was obvious, even though she admitted that she didn't really know how to answer me. Generally speaking, if you don't know what the score is, don't make something up.

This branch decided they wanted to close on a Tuesday at 3:15 in the afternoon. Internet says they should be open and it’s not a bank holiday as far as I know.
