“After reading the reviews, I somehow thought the juices were made to order, and was not thrilled when I was handed three small plastic bottles in exchange for $35. Had I overpaid for a Jamba Juice experience? Fortunately, despite the unpromising packaging, the juices themselves were outstanding, and tasted fresh. Mine was the apple ginger turmeric, and had I known how sublime it would be, I would have ordered two. Probably the best juices I've tried in LA, and I will be back soon.”

“I love Lazy Acres. I have lived in Manhattan Beach for over 23 years. I actually live walking distance from Lazy Acres on Artesia just a few homes down from Miracosta high school. The property Lazy Acres is on used to be the auditorium and indoor skate park where my sons attended because they are members of the church, Hope Chapel. The staff at Lazy Acres are wonderful. Robert, Danny and Pedro, along with the store associates are all really nice except for this one person named Tiffany! I went into Shop one day, and as I am bagging my own groceries, my choice, because I feel it's best to help out when you have some groceries and I did have a lot, she gets upset because I used two of the premade double bags she had prepared and put in with the other bags. She had the nerve to say to me, "You keep taking my bags!". I tried to ignore her, but she said it again And the fact that I'm bagging my own groceries...It doesn't matter if I'm doubling the bags myself or if she's bagging the groceries. I'm sure she would use the double bags or if there was a bagger available they would use the double bags. She went on and continued to argue with me how she didn't want anyone using the bags that she took the time to double. First of all, she's on the clock and the time she spends checking, doubling a bag, bagging the groceries or not, it's going to be the same for her, and I found it very rude for her to talk to me the way she did . I did contact the manager and I hope that she was spoken to about this situation. If that had been my first time in that store, and that happened to me, I would never return, because I can't believe someone could be so rude to a customer who is bagging their own groceries. I know you all are wondering why I would give the store a five star review. I did so because the store is wonderful and the staff is wonderful but it's just that one bad Apple that stood out and I wanted to bring the situation to the table and let others know.”

“I like their specialty items - they sell foods that I can't find anywhere else. The prices are exorbitant though, and I've brought home moldy produce on a few occasions ( grapes and bell peppers). Overall, I love the convenience of this store - it's right down the street from me, so I can walk over and get my 10% membership discount once a month. “This store has fresh high quality products without synthetics and I like that this store offers daily packets of individual mulitvits as well as in powdered form. It has been very hard to find daily packets of multivits at any local nutritional store. As a teenager I was usually very deficient in iron, folic acid, etc however I became health conscious in 1984 when I was offered a job in the juice bar at Peter Gillham's and after taking the mulitvits I noticed that my nails became long and strong and I was generally healthier. I used to prepare Mr. Gillham's favorite drink called "Bohemian Protein Drink" with pineapple coconut juice and delivered it to his office upstairs on the corner of Catalina and Fountain. I have become very inspired by Mr. Gillham's knowledge of health and nutrition that I'm educating my boyfriend on nutrition and I plan on cleaning out his cupboard of cheap bottles of generic vitamins and replacing them with Peter Gillham's multivitamins. I would like to continue to be supportive of this store even after 38 years. PS,, I am also kind of relieved that the store attendant that worked there in 2015 has moved on and is no longer smoking cigarettes near the entrance of this store .”

“Press Juicery is great when you don't have a juicer. It's a lot to prep fruits and veggies. I prefer to go here to get my bottles. They have a verify of types of juices, frozen and other tasty treats. I also like their juice shots when I need an extra boost. They have seasonal and holiday juices and all are ready to go bottles. I sometimes will pick up a week's worth of juices and also I combine juices. There have been occasions when I have used some of the juices for an adult beverages. The staff is very friendly and the services a good. Most of the sites are small and some have walk up windows. Staying healthy is important and Press Juicery is my go to for fresh juice fruits and veggies,”
