I’ve been a customer of Ellinwood Nail Salon for the past 6 years, and I can confidently say they are one of the best! They are polite, professional, courteous, and offer their nail services at very reasonable prices.
Lily who does my nails, is amazing—she’s always welcoming and does a fantastic job. Tiffany, the owner, runs the salon with such care and professionalism.
I highly recommend Ellinwood Nail Salon to anyone looking for a nice manicure. You won’t be disappointed!

I got basic pedicure here. No products added to the water, a pumice stone used for 10 secs didn’t even get the basic callus off, a single layer of nail polish that chipped next day. In the end the tech basically rushed me out by turning off the massage chair while I was still in it, and there was no other clients waiting.

i came here to get my acrylics removed. once the lady started taking my nails off, she went straight to scraping them off under the acrylic nail which was very painful. they did not use any kind of acetone before hand to ease the removal. there was some blood from my nails because of how forcefully the nails were taken off. the lady even cut one of my natural nails in half and tried to glue it back together...the whole experience was very painful. never coming back here.

Ask for pricing before you get a service done. I went in for basic manicure. She talked me into a powder dip manicure. Never had one done before and she assured me it would last longer. Ok, no problem. I asked for 2 mails a different color and she insisted on nail art instead. Again, I should’ve asked how much extra it would be for the 2 stickers she put on my nail. My nails turned out nice and it did last about 2.5 weeks before chipping. I was ok with that. But it also cost me $90 with tip. That seems pretty excessive to me. She asked me 3 times for a tip. I always leave a good tip, but I felt taken advantage of. Lesson learned to ask for pricing upfront and know the only concern they have is getting more money.

Went here for my wedding nails and very disappointed! Firstly the nail polish came off within 3 hours of getting my pedicure. Secondly the quality of my gel manicure is awful. The angle they are pointing is ridiculously bad. I don’t know how they didn’t see that they are pointed up towards the ceiling. I was too embarrassed to ask them to fix it but also realized they probably would have just ruined them even more. Will never go back there again and I will be going to have my nails fixed before my wedding. Really such awful quality all around.

Pedicures are way overpriced and the worst place for men to get a pedicure! My pedicurist spent about 15 minutes on my pedicure and it cost $35! Needless to say I didn't get my toes painted. She tried to up sell me on a deluxe pedicure for $50. I'm glad I didn't fall into that trap. All she did was clip my toe nails and barely scrubbed my soles with a pumice stone. Didn't clean up my cuticles. The same pedicurist did my spouse after me and she did the same lame 15 minutes pedicure. We were charged $70 for about 30 minutes of low effort pedicures. We came here before and wasn't impressed, but we thought we would give the place another try. Never again!

This place is dirty! It's a health code violation waiting to happen. It looks like the UV light machines used to dry nails haven't been wiped in years. I could feel the built up dust and grime when I put my hands in them to dry my gel nail polish. Many of the tools are re-used without being sanitized properly. Yuck! I was charged $45 for a regular gel mani. Seems pricey for a place that doesn't properly clean their salon.

Happy Sunday! I had the opportunity to visit the nail spa today 5/5. Everything went well until the time to pay. I have always paid $65 for a regular gel Mani/Pedi service. However, today Ms. Tiffany decides on this good 1st Sunday she wants to charge me $95 for this service. I paid the $95 + $10 tip. I left the nail spa disappointed. I then got in my car, telephoned Ellinwood Nail Spa to check prices of the same service just performed, Ms. Tiffany quoted me $85. So what we have here is charge as you go, depending on who you service, the price you pay? I really liked Ms. Tiffany and held the most respect for her and her family. Today was the last day of her life, to over charge me for services performed at Ellinwood Nail Spa. Rule #1 In business we want to service our customers, satisfy the customer, not over charge the customer, and build relationships with the customer. Thank you Ms. Tiffany for cutting the ties.

This was honestly one of my worst nail salon experiences. I decided to get my nails done for my wedding and after 2 hours, I told the woman doing my nails that I had to leave even with my nails not even close to being done because I could NOT miss my flight! She refused to let me leave! She continued to do my nails and eventually, I had to say no! Long story short, I missed my flight! When I came back to let her finish, she had the nerve to charge an additional $20 after I paid $75 plus $5 tip even though she did NOT finish! Very money hungry and poor customer service among other things… I also saw a review stating that they don’t sterilize their tools & I didn’t see any new tools being used on my feet and I came at the end of the day. Truly hoping for the best. Overall bad experience :/

This is my 3rd and final time....should have not have gone a 3rd time.... You won't get a good person unless you're spending some money in there. Go to Oakland where they'll do your right. This is like the third or forest shop. I've tried at Walnut Creek. Pleasant Hill, it's not working.

Highly DO NOT‼️ recommend, they are brave for being a neighborhood nail salon in a less than thriving economy. However thats not an excuse to lie and steal from new customers. I love tipping especially after a good pedicure. Unfortunately They are low quality, have low quality products and the experience as a whole was below bare minimum.
I was told my total was $35 with or without polish and she don’t have a menu for me to verify that.
I could understand that if it was worth it but I didn’t bother to ask for the price because I just wanted a basic pedicure.
I received less than that, Luke warm water, no products added to the water, no scrub, a quarter piece of a pumice stone used for 10 secs didn’t even get the basic callus I had on the bottom of my feet.
She used a hand tool to sand my nail bed down to sensitivity with no real attention to the cuticle or cleaning under and shaping my actual nail.
Beyond disappointed and just not having the energy to go back and forth and end up having a altercation I just paid and left. New to the area, But I will never go back and will be sure to advise others to avoid if they have the option to not waste their money and time.

I love this place, great staff and reasonably priced. Bao was terrific and offered me hot tea or water when I was getting a pedicure. Such a calm and nice environment. I also appreciated being told what the difference was between gel and regular nail polish.
