If I could give negative stars, I would. Deli is HORRIBLE!! Bought wings today and although it looked dry and sitting out for a long time, they assured me it was just cooked. Either the elderly guy lied (which I think he did) or the cook doesn't know how to cook wings.I should have went with my gut and not buy it but was hungry. Never again will I buy at this deli. Wings were horrible and dry!

Bought chicken pot pies here yesterday... i guess they dont know how to make them in pleasant hill... after cooking it had ONLY CHICKEN... dry 30min cooked chicken with a pie crust atop... ... we called to ask about what the store would do for us and the employee said to bring in pur pot pies with the box and receipt... well since we dont live close we bought some at our normal safeway and they were delicious... AVIOID THEM AT PLEASANT HILL

As I was checking out there was some triggering words due to my autism spectrum disorder that Kim said to one of her employees. I'm not going to mention it on Yelp since it's a little personal so I hope that I could talk to a store manager in detail about this via email. I heard her talk to her employees at the self checkout so I'm not going to mention it on Yelp since it's a little to personal. I also don't like how the water bottles are right by the check out stand and they should be where the sodas and other beverages are in that specific aisle, because if the store is crowded or there is a long line people will be running into customers that want to buy bottled waters like myself due to the tap water not being good in my house. Also, there is a lot of homeless and drunk people in the parking lot no matter what time of the day I come to this store. So I literally now feel unsafe shopping at this particular Safeway.

What is going on with this bakery? I went here this Saturday to order a cake for Monday morning. They had a cute cake with M&M's on it, but wanted it with all chocolate inside. First off the energy coming from behind the counter made me feel like they didn't even want to deal with me, but I thought maybe it was just my imagination because this is a supermarket after all, well no, I was right. They let me know they couldn't have a cake done Monday morning and were taking no more orders for Sunday evening. I just said, " ok, thank you" and left. No other options were given. They obviously don't want customers to even approach the counter, the tone alone made this obvious. That's no problem for me, because there are many other options out there. I don't have to deal with the mean girls club.

I'm sorry prices are absolutely ridiculous. Unfortunately I do come here often as it is the only grocery store close to me but after my shopping it will most likely be my last. All of this was $41, I'm making myself a salad for dinner and having a drink $41!!!!!

Do not get into Rhonda's checkout line. Today is Friday, she did not give me the price for the 5 dollar Friday products I bought and then when I came back to ask her why, she told me it was not Friday. also I had some items from the 50% off clearance section and she told me all of my items were not on clearance. I told her they had rows and rows of them there, but she said they didn't belong there. so I told her I didn't want them, so she set them aside but she rung one up anyway! so I paid for it but she didn't put it in my bag. By the way, they were on clearance even though she insisted they were not. when I came back into the store, she told me, "you said you didn't want it." But, I didn't want to pay for it and not get it! For some reason this woman did not want me to have anything for the sale price! what in the world is wrong with her? you should have heard they way she talked to me. unbelievable.

I can't believe I watched the bakery manager Stacie pick her nose and then go back to touching the food items with her hands without WASHING! I almost lost my breakfast from my stomach into my shopping cart. I've been a customer at this Safeway for 10 plus years. Will never return. Absolutely disgusting. Hope you like boogers in your baked good would of given the store a zero but forced to give 1 star.

Today I had the misfortune of dealing with Michael who was behind the deli counter at this Safeway. With some difficulty I got the attention of a man behind the counter (who turned out to be "Michael.") The chain features a black pepper steak, cut in small pieces with beans, spices etc. and I asked Michael for a pint of this dish. Answer: "I don't know what a pint is." Baffled, I saw pint containers stacked on a shelf and pointed them out. Michael filled one and moved to hand it to me when I asked for a lid. Answer: "we have no lids." I explained I'd be driving some distance and I needed a lid to keep the food from spilling. Was there any other container that could be used? Michael found a flat container and filled it from the pint he had already filled--but it was overfilled and the top would not fit securely. When I pointed this out, Michael became surley and said: "I did what you wanted!" At this point it was obvious that I could not expect decent service from Michael so I told him "nevermind," turned and left.While I was walking away Michael shouted: "Have a nice day!"

I went to Safeway this morning and my favorite employees were working!I don't have all of their names but I do have the "name" of an employee who goes by Hype G on Yelp.Hype G. sent me an inappropriate message on Yelp about my friendship with Amy (rest in Paradise).This person is being investigated by Yelp. This is the bracelet that Amy liked. I bought her a matching bracelet after she commented on mine.

***Shout out to Kim at this Safeway, Contra costa Blvd, Pleasant Hill. She's friendly and helpful. 4 ****Larger Safeway with moderate amount of items and products. Pretty neat at times.Only thing is: there's always drunk people in the parking lot. They're rude too!!!Also, a deli staff lady is not helpful or friendly at all!!!Have been to nicer staffed, helpful Safeways.

Everything always out of stock 6/10 items I shopped for were not available. Premade chickens or fried chicken? Good luck. Dirty floors. Any other Safeway around here is better. Shameful. Better when it was Save Mart. Way understaffed and disorganized.

Safeway bakery. Friday late afternoon I came by to place an order and was greeted with we are not taking any orders! Taken aback I explained I was placing an order for Monday afternoon pick up - oh the clerk exclaimed. I should have turned around and walked out but I stayed and placed an order. This locations bakery has done amazing cakes for us in the past so I did not think twice about placing an order for a 1/4 sheet cake for the awards dinner for our high schools girls water polo team. On Monday I arrived at the appointed time and there was no Safeway clerk in or near the bakery. I pressed the button for help - 10 minutes no response and then walked to the front of the store seeking help. Eventually a manager came and brought me back to the bakery. They pulled my order and to my horror I received a cake that looked like a 5 year old decorated. Instead of reading what the cake was for they wrote on the cake the whole statement! Now I'm in a bind the event is the same day as the pick up. No one who works in bakery was there to speak with. I'm embarrassed to bring this cake and I was charged full price!!! Never again!!

I bounce between this store and oakPark Safeway. I stopped going to countrywood Safeway because a new employee embarrassed me in front of a line of customers. I go here because they care and most of the time find u a bagger. I am disabled and live in pain. No one can tell so the let me bag 300 dollar orders. I love John he's the best. They bring many stock people to check and I appreciate that. They also work very hard. I appreciate all baggers - thank you from the bottom of my
