The staff here are extremely, EXTREMELY courteous and helpful. They have gone out of their way to help me. I've never had such a pleasant experience at a pharmacy before. Thank you for taking care of me!

We stopped to purchase some groceries while passing through the area in our 60ft motorhome and tow vehicle. We were barely stopped for two minutes when someone knocked on our door. We opened the door to a security guard who quickly told us that Safeway doesn't allow RV parking. We would have to go down the road and park at the abandoned JC Penney just past where the pavement color changes. If you're in an RV and are looking for groceries go somewhere else. This Safeway definitely doesn't want your business.

I came out of the hospital and went straight to this pharmacy to pick up my prescription. The young woman was helping someone bring in covid shots and stood there talking to him for awhile. Finally she came to help. She said my insurance rejected the prescription and tried it a few times. I asked her to call the number on the back as Anthem Blue Cross has 24 he service. She refused to do it I was in pain snd had no phone to call myself so a $6.00 purchase turned into $26.00. I called the insurance and they said she entered it wrong in the system. It said I was to take 20 pills a day. Anthem tried to talk with the manager and the woman who was so sweet to me basically told me they didn't want to work with her that it was too late. Today someone called snd said they were willing to give me a gift card but the whole time she was arguing with me and blaming the doctor! Why didn't they call the doctor then if it was the way he wrote it up. Common sense tells you no ones going to prescribe 20 pain meds a day! Even after surgery. This woman was so terrible to me I had to hang up on her. I'm laying here in pain snd she's insisting the pharmacy did nothing wrong. I really don't care about the $20 it's just the worst I've ever been treated. I used to shop here all the time now it's such terrible customer service I will never go back

The pharmacist is very rude and unprofessional. I hate when I have to get prescriptions here!! The other Safeway near the mall is way better!!

I’ve been going here for years simply out of convenience. Although their recent incompetence is making it far from convenient and I will not be returning. I recently got on a new insurance plan and brought my card ready to pick up prescriptions that had been called in 3 hours before. I was told they were not ready yet and was asked to wait for 10 minutes. I return to them after 20 to have the man tell me they don’t take my insurance. Although I was annoyed they didn’t tell me that before they had me wait, it was fine. They asked me to go to Walgreens and request that my prescriptions be transferred. I did that immediately after. 3 hours later I call Safeway to see if they received the request. The same man who I spoke to earlier at Safeway then told me that he was unable to transfer 2 of the 3 prescriptions but that he would send the one that he could. Luckily, the one he was sending was the one I was out of. So, I waited till the next morning then went to Walgreens only to find out they never received anything. I’ve called this Safeway now every day in a row for the past 4 days. They still claim they never received a request although it was confirmed on day 1 that they did. I am now out of all 3 medications with no solution in sight. DO BETTER. If not for me, do it for the people who could die from not getting the medications they need.

Worst front end ever. Do these cashiers not know that customers have places to be? I just don't get it. Where are all of the courtesy clerks? A cashier literally told me, "You have to bag your own groceries!" Today the lady who changes out the coin dispenser at the registers walked right up next to me like we were best friends. What's the point of making everyone else practice safe social distancing if you're just going to walk up and invade my personal space during a PANDEMIC? Absolutely ridiculous. Never enough cashiers. I will start avoiding this store at all costs.

I've been coming to this Pharmacy quite a bit recently to help my mom in picking up her prescriptions. Although I see many poor reviews of this Safeway, in Pleasant Hill, this Pharmacy DOES STAND OUT because of those working behind the counter. Thus, this goes out to Pharmacist Georgia, and Pharmacy Tech. Dinora. Georgia always has a gracious attitude, even when under stress, or when it's close to closing time. Dinora had great communication skills and a willingness to help, when I was in earlier today. Basically, both ladies made my experience great! The Pharmacy, within Safeway, is VERY clean and easy to find as it's at the back of the store, merely for safety reasons. They do close for lunch, for about 45-minutes, but very good service, in my humble opinion! There is tons of parking at this Safeway, as well as a Starbucks. The store itself is located in The Pleasant Hill Plaza, off Contra Costa Blvd. where Nation's, Farrington's Irish Bar, stand-alone Starbucks, Mountain Mike's Pizza, Los Gallos Mexican Restaurant, etc. all are. In general, people are what make a business great, or not so great; however, this Pharmacy has two outstanding women working here and I'm thankful for that! Thank you, Georgia & Dinora!

The Pleasant Hill Plaza Safeway store is chronically understaffed and I've often been overcharged for items. The "Just 4 U" discounts often don't work when the item is scanned.

Worst. Consistently disappointed by this pharmacy. Always long wait. Wait time at least double the time. Time to search for other options. Will never get prescription fill up here.

The staff is friendly enough, but... they are an unorganized mess. I have to use them per my Insurance company. They have either incorrectly filled, or not filled at all, 6 of 6 times. Also have to remind them to order my medication.

Pharmacist herself is nice, but the rest of this place is a mess. I receive texts to pick up meds and end up having to wait for 30 min anyway.
