Customer service is terrible at the registers. This young lady acted as if we were bothering her and wanting us to just get the hell out of the store. Just a reminder that us customers are the reason you even have a business so try to treat us with a little more courtesy. She was screaming at other associates and when we asked for bags she was irritated. Couldn’t get a name because she wasn’t wearing one. Dressed in black and sporting tattoos well congratulations miss you just cost Safeway a customer for life and I will definitely encourage friends and family to avoid your store at all cost.

This a employee complaint. Lazy lazy lazy. I only come into this store for 2 things creamer and yogurt that i can not get at luckies. . both things I came in for, were not there, I walked up to a Safeway worker( she would not give me her name, white woman around 30 yo. 5'3" dirty blonde, hair always up in a bun. bad eye make up. Thursday 1pm.) This is not my first time being annoyed by this worthless worker. Lazy worker who treats hard workers as her personal slave. I observe her alot being a jerk to less able bodied workers. She is a rude personality type doesnt listen doesnt care does n t make eye contact. I walked up to the only person doing nothing. Well except talking about other people to a tall guy. Complaining about her job. I say exscuse me 3x she ignoes me, I say hey I have a question. She is obviously annoyed that iinterupted her complaining. I ask hey I came in for 2 things they aren't on the shelf can you help me I need half an... she cuts me off and tells the person.working on the floor opening boxes at her feet to get up stop what they are doing. She stands around doing nothing then when asked about the creamer, she stops another person who is on the floor WORKING. to come help me. How does such a ignorant lazy person get promoted to supervise others.. no eye contact no response other to look bothered and confussed. She tells person on floor working at her feet. To help me.. its mind boggling. While she stands around all the time chatting. This is the worst Safeway.. I'm not coming back to this Safeway. I hate it 3 security guards standing around talking or vaping. Every time nothing or vaping. . Get a clue Safeway your paying alot of people to do nothing.while raising prices. . Go to any Safeway it'll improvement on this one.. to be clear I'm not annoyed because I had to go to martinez safewY I'm disgusted with this workers snotty entitled superior attitude toward myself and the working worker. She is rude and disrespectful. She looks down her nose at other people. Her standing there and barking orders at the other employee who is a gentler person. Was bullying and I was mad because I felt horrible for the other person . Put yourself in anothers shoes and understand this person is probably fearful of loosing their job so they jump. I see this differently ambled person all the time. They work hard deserve a raise and respect. Then to see someone like this woman who is lazy and rude treat this hard worker with such disregard was disgusting. What a pig she is. And I will never go back, there are too many options to give my buissness to this location.

This is our favorite location in the Pleasant Hill/Martinez area. The store is always well-stocked, organized, and there are no lines. They also have good deals, so we always end up buying more than we planned for ?

Very poor service. The monument Food Max has better prices and service.
They have many checkstands open but they try to send you to the computer check-out, which I do not respect. The other day I left an entire cart of groceries in the front and will not be returning here. This was my second time shopping here and my last. I live in Walnut Creek and prefer the store on treat blvd. Friendlier Cashiers too.

This Safeway is a prison, once you enter you can't leave. There are barriers everywhere! I was in a hurry with my kids and this Safeway didn't have what I was looking for (sugar free pudding packages, don't judge) so we tried to exit. We walked back and forth with NO way to exit. I finally had to walk through a closed checkout line which made the employees upset. I really don't know what else I could have done. All the open lanes had long lines of people trying to check out. It's a bummer to feel like a criminal while grocery shopping. I understand that Safeway needs to stop crime but there has to be a better way.

Yikes. I had a couple of unfortunate experiences at this particular establishment, both of which left me feeling uneasy. The first incident occurred some time ago when I was placing an order for food. The lady taking my order made a remark about my size, gesturing towards my body while asking if I was sure about my choices. This encounter left me feeling perplexed and unsure about what had just transpired. Despite this, I decided to let it go and avoided returning to the establishment for quite some time. However, when I eventually decided to give it another chance, I encountered yet another unpleasant situation, this time at the sandwich section of the store. While waiting in line, I noticed that a bit of time had passed, so I approached the register, assuming that there may have been a change in procedures. However, I was promptly instructed to return to my place in line and wait to be helped. As I waited patiently, I observed the same lady who had directed me back assisting someone who had just arrived. After a prolonged wait, I was finally attended to. Despite my request for a simple sandwich without any modifications, I couldn't help but notice the missing ingredients and the lingering gaze of the lady preparing it. Needless to say, the entire experience left me dissatisfied, and I have no intentions of returning. In summary, both instances left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome, prompting me to reconsider patronizing this establishment in the future.

It’s like a little prison, you got multiple security guards and one way gates in and out of the store. Maximum security prison vibes

Wow...so I felt like I was entering Airport Security at this store.
Self checkout requires you scan your receipt to open the subway gates to let you out.
When you walk in, you have to walk through one-way gates to get in. Contracted security guards man the doors.
I'm good on this spot. For emergency use only.
