I love this store location & the people too! I can only give 3/5 bc their freezers sucks & the ice cream is CONSISTENTLY BAD (icy & seems like it has melted & then refrozen)! Please buy & install new freezer system & make sure back up power for freezers bc this has been & still continues to be an issue! Come on Safeway your profits are high enough for you to make a some critical upgrades! In fact all of your older stores could use an upgrade in the frozen, cheese, dairy/eggs & meat depts! Your method of over stacking packaged meat & poultry doesn't provide proper & safe temperature!

Cashier didn't say hello. She was dressed sloppy. She was taking sips of her personal drink as she was checking and answering texts in her phone which was laying on the top of the register. She literally tossed my items toward the bagger instead of sliding them or handing them over gently.I paid for four pears and only found two in my bag.The larger bottle of kefir yogurt I bought tasted like it went bad.On another visit to this location the bagger was just throwing my food in the bag. I told her that I would do it because I didn't want my fruit destroyed.Weird a** store and people.Food is so expensive. I don't want my food abused! What is going on?Wherever I go there are incompetent employees. It's scary and sad.So many people in the world. The majority seem incompetent.

*****Shout out to the PM CREW!! ****5 stars *****Joe, Abrora, Marty, Lance, Andrew, also the one who works in the produce on weekend evenings (sorry forgot his name)love this Safeway Patterson, Pleasant Hill store. It's a smaller Safeway but they have all the necessary items and products. I normally go on Saturday late evening when it's quieter and not super chaotic. The staff are all helpful, cheerful and friendly. JOE, always helps with finding items in the store and always has a positive great attitude. ABRORA has helped me find green tea and different items. She is also efficient, great sense of humor and always with a positive attitude. MARTY is very helpful and friendly, puts away miscellaneous items and cleans up, quick in bagging, and always puts away the carts on the evening. Also he is careful when bagging my bananas and eggs, etc. Great store!!! Friendly, neighborhood grocery atmosphere. Thank you!!!Natalie

They've lost my business for good here. I live not too far away, so it's very convenient. But, there is NEVER enough check stands open. Lines are way too long with 1-2 cashiers. They work their employees to death. Then there's the bakery.... I've gone in at 8-9 in the morning and there's no donuts at all, sometimes there's even day old donuts. Terrible. I'll give my business to lunardis. If a line gets long they immediately open another check stand. They're a little bit more expensive but it's worth it to avoid the hassle and long lines. Safeway has definitely gone downhill. The last 10 years or so it's gone to s*** more and more. All locations, not just this one. Management, wake the hell up, you're driving customers away. Corporate, pull your heads out of your asses you greedy dicks.

I used to love this Safeway, I kept thinking to myself " man I need to rate this place 5 stars" - 5 stars are really for the deli. I LOVE everyone at the deli. Safeway should put a tipping jar for them. They work hard and they are really nice even under high pressure situations. The cashiers are also really sweet. Especially the night shift staff. I visit often bc I come to take care of a family member every day The Starbucks is ok- hit and miss so I stopped frequenting my everyday visit and took elsewhere. Lexie and Eugene are my favorite. They do it right every time. WHAT I REALLYYYYYYYY REALLLLLY DISLIKE IS THE FLORAL DEPARTMENT. I don't know what's with those females but if you don't like your f**** job, maybe you should find another. Always has a fatass attitude I always treat ppl with kindness and plug in my please and thank yous, but I'll definitely match energy if you bring it to the table.

Well it's Safeway friend! Slightly above average over priced food! Employees are nice. Building needs a little work as One half, of one side, of one of the doors is wooden and needs repair in order to be glass like the rest of the doors. I love Safeway's chocolate fudge cake, and some of the other cakes that they sell by the slice for two. Today I decided to try something new, my first time trying a Tartufo, marvelous! If you enjoy chocolate, and chocolate mixed with other flavors you'll love this! The top layer tastes like chocolate espresso frosting, and the next layer is gooey fudge cake, and the next layer almost taste like a vanilla custard, that gooey chocolate again, and then a layer of what kind of taste like thick and creamy dense chocolate pudding, and then yes bottom layer is that we gooey chocolatey cake!

Samantha with the Drive Up and Go service is a delight. She's friendly and kind. I want her to know how helpful she and the service are to someone working full time and shopping for my mother who can't drive. It's just so appreciated

2nd time this month. Today 7-22 at 10:15 AM I went in to buy ice cream and cilantro. Only 1 checker was open and there were 2 people in line with very full carts. I just put my stuff down and walked out. You cannot rely on this store to have more than 1 checker open. what a waste of time. I am no longer going to shop Safeway

This review is for the Starbucks in store. I ordered a tea lemonade and tried to put the straw in the middle of cup.( I didn't have my glasses) and the girl instead of helping me laughed and told her coworker. I left ... way to go for great customer service.

Beware! If you want your monopoly tickets you better ask! I just shopped at this Safeway and everyone in front of me was asked if they play except me. Not customer friendly. I was offended! Several times now that I have not been asked and had to ask myself for my monopoly tickets. Every customer should be respected equally! Respect your customers! Or else you will loose them.

In the beginning of the lockdown a little over a year ago, the fear and uncertainty was so palpable it was as if, we, as a nation, were almost paralyzed with fear. It's hard to be optimistic when surrounded by uncertainty and fear of a pandemic that was spreading so quickly. But, in the rare moments I ventured out for grocery shopping at the local Safeway store on Patterson Blvd, in Pleasant Hill, whenever Anthony, was at his station checking out shoppers, he was always so pleasant, efficient and happy. He made a difference with the customers he helped. Maybe it's because I fancy myself to be a writer, I watch and observe people. The few times I was at the store when Anthony was working, I noticed that he shows a genuine interest in his customers easily engaging them in conversation while checking out their purchases. He is always polite, friendly and considerate. Training someone to be competent at their job is an accomplishment the company can claim. Providing exceptional customer service and respect has to come from that person's heart. Anthony's warm smile, friendly and helping spirit is appreciated and restores a sense of "normalness" we had before the pandemic. Our grocery workers are as much "frontline" workers providing essential services as doctors and other health care professionals are and I appreciate them. Kudos to Anthony for the friendly and efficient service he gives to all of us, his customers and fans!

Thank you Ron (cashier) for putting the cherry on top of our shopping experience, my small family and I always come to this Safeway at least a couple times a week. The staff are friendly and the store is always clean. The Starbucks team is amazing and super friendly, thanks for making my whole shopping experience wholesome.

I have shopped her recently at this Safeway which is halfway home for my commute and boy do I find there inventory and store so much better than my "Home Safeway" 6688 Alhambra store has sadly left me feeling ignored. Their Meat dept. specifically has VERY rude butchers that keep me waiting ALL THE TIME and are not nice....But RABIA in customer Service is excellent. I recently had a problem and she told me her name and where she is assigned and told me to come see her personally next time I was in the store. She took me right up and remembered me and completely solved my problem. I will shop there because of people like her!!!! She's amazing. SO HAPPY I found this store. I was ready to give up on Safeway.

This location seems pretty chill most of the time. The lines are usually always long to check out which is annoying, especially if you have a kid that is over grocery shopping. But today was interesting as seeing a sketchy guy walking around, which then saw him grab some things and shove the stuff in his pocket and started headed out the door. I informed the closest staff member I saw and their response was oh uh ya, oh well. Ha interested response to get when you tell a staff member that someone just stole stuff. Guess if you want to steal come here since they don't care.
