Had a positive experience reserving a full-size SUV for our Tahoe trip. The front desk representative was helpful, and we appreciated the flexibility to pick up on Saturday. Unfortunately, our plans were disrupted by weather conditions, leading us to reschedule our trip to March. We had to return the SUV on Monday, and despite this change, the process was smooth. We don't understand the negative reviews, as our overall experience was good. Looking forward to our rescheduled trip in March with another rental from this location.

I was skeptical due to all those bad reviews, but everything was fine.Booked a small sedan, which was not available, and they gave me a compact SUV at the same price.And they answered the questions I had about driving with a foreign driver's license and how to use the toll on the freeway.

Understaffed and undertrained staff. They really need to learn how to deal with customers. Maybe the problem is not enough people to deal with volume of customers. Why can't Hertz learn from great rental companies like National and Enterprise. So much potential, wasted by terrible workforce. Cut from the top. Get rid of the management first.

Jason was at the desk when I arrived. I was told a specific price BUT when I came it was another price. So I went to bank of America across the street to add more money. When I came back my car was given to another customer. First come, first served he said with a smirk. Ok I said. And WAITED for another car to be HALF CLEANED. the car had to be just turned in. A manager walked in saying how she was out of vehicles and there would be a 30min to an hour wait on walk ins.i don't remember her name but it starts with a ( K )When I got the car it smelled like budussy mid and dirty laundry. Crumbs all in-between the seats and dusty. I believe it was her car they gave me last min.They know customers are in need for the holidays and do the bare minimum for their quarter being made. Don't rent here go to enterprise 12min to pleasanton location or 9 to the San Ramon location. These ppl are ghetto.

Not recommended. Hertz, you provided worst(life threatening) mini van. I rented 7 seater at Pleasanton CA on 12/22/2023(As per your website vehicle will be highlander or similar). But i got soranto which is not enough for luggages. So we decided to upgrade vehicle. Hertz Pleasanton CA asked us to go to Oakland CA airport and upgrade it. We upgraded Honda odyssey. But that mini van had so many problems. There was huge noise while running car and while applying brakes, vehicle was rattling. Back lights in cabin were not working and driving condition was bad. So i called support and they towed vehicle and asked me to get new vehicle in LoS Angeles Airport.We got struck at airport for replacement vehicle for more than 6 hours without water and your staff says not vehicle available. Family also got struck in hotel. No proper customer service support also. After that we got 5 seater only and we only searched vehicle in hertz parking lot and found another 6 seater. Hertz Ruined our entire vacation. Very worst service. Lot of money waste due to plan change and mental pressure. Also Pleasanton CA location, they didnt hear properly on our issue and your manager also not in office. Do Not RENT car in HERTZ.

Rude, brainless, dumb people work here. Don’t even make effort to listen to customers. We had a reservation here and without even looking at the reservation number, they denied our reservation and sent us to another hertz location. When we went there, the employees at the other hertz location confirmed we had a reservation here and sent us to this place again. After wasting all this time (and money), they did not even care to understand our frustration and talked rudely with us for THEIR FAULT!!!! At least have the decency to accept your mistake.Never booking here again.

Hertz should close this branch or change management! They charged me extra for returning the car at 9:20am instead of 9am, without informing me. The good thing is that Hertz customer support refunded me right away.This branch also didn't show any good customer care. Worst experience with Hertz, which I'm a gold member of.

I don't really get all the negative reviews. For me, it was very easy to book a car online, check in and pick it up. There was no line when I got there and one of the employees walked with me to the rental (Tesla) to give an extensive explanation about it. I didn't even get hidden costs! I can definitely recommend this place. (Although it might be wise to book your car beforehand online)

My rental process was great! Checking out was fast and painless. I did pre-pay online and got exactly the car I needed. Returning was easy as they have an after-hours dropoff box. I accidentally left my phone holder behind which they held for me to pickup.

One day before I made appointment to pick up Car at 11 o'clock they've told me no come here at 8 AM. I say can't make at8 and I say I can make at 11 oclock they say ok no problem. when I got there at 10:30 Car not available. They say you have to wiet to 12 o'clock if I can give you below one Star I would love to do that but I cam't

We rented a car and a couple in, we got a notification that the tire pressure was too high. Then when my husband got out of the car to release some pressure, we notice that there was a puncture to the side wall of the front passenger tire and a bubble or whatever to the driver rear tire. I was so pissed that they gave us the car in this condition. We could have gotten into a serious accident if the tire popped. Aren't the workers supposed to check before they give the car to the customer?

This place is a joke. Matt is liar who will cuss at you while threatening to quit. Do us all a favor and please do quit. Most unprofessional rental car site I’ve ever dealt with in my 20+ years of renting cars.

I mean do i need to waste my time writing a review? The overall rating should be enough. 2hr waiting minimum, tip for the site manager, you have a serious issue there you need to do your job and address it.

Booked a rental car on Friday afternoon to pickup at 9am Saturday. Prepaid and did the online check-in Friday afternoon. Showed up at 9am to pick up vehicle and location wasn’t open…sign on door and hours online say open at 9am. There were 15+ people in line. They didn’t open until 9:20. One customer service rep working counter. At 10am I still had several customers in front of me and they had only rented 2 vehicles out. I walked out and cancelled reservation over the phone. Will take 7-10 days to get refund on CC for service I never received.Note: while waiting on the phone to cancel Hertz (20min) I was able to book, pay for and check-in with Budget across town and received the car i needed.

If I could, I would give zero stars. We booked a 7 seated car, to pick up at 9AM, and guess what, not ready. We had plans and had to reschedule everything, because by 12PM the car wasn’t ready yet. They have no costumers service. The line is huge and the staff takes to long with just the one client. Prepare to wait and if you have plans by the clock, consider another provider.
