Today I had an 11:00 AM appointment to do my tax return. I arrived a few minutes early, was checked in at the reception tax and sat down to wait. No one communicated anything to me until 11:40 at which time I asked if it might be better if I came back at a later time. The receptionist left and got the preparer to come out who apologized and said she was finishing up and would be another 5 minutes. At 11:55 I told the receptionist I was done waiting and left. He looked shocked and said nothing. I understand sometimes in business one might run late but the lack of communication and the severe lateness was totally unacceptable.

I have been using block for a few years now, but this year included me becoming disabled. Lucy reached out to me in a few minutes to clarify things and it was simple. I really appreciate the simplicity and quickness of response.

I made an appointment and walked in, but it quickly became clear the staff wasn’t prepared. When I asked a tax-related question, the representative openly Googled the answer in front of me, which raised a major red flag. The lack of professionalism and preparation made us decide to leave.

I was told I was being charged $300 to file my refund, I WAS CHARGED $485. What the actual ****. I called customer service and all they did was read back the hidden fees. But this company prides itself on not having hidden fees. Thanks a lot Robert! Thank you for telling me it would only be around $300 only to take almost $500 out of my tax refund! This was one of the worst life lessons I wish I never had to learn. Please please let me be your sign to file somewhere else, anywhere else, the hidden fees are insane. I am self employed and those were fees I was ready to accept. I went from thinking I was paying $100 to do my taxes to $300 because of my self employment form fee to than realizing I was charged $485 after. Go somewhere else, anywhere else, heck learn how to do it yourself and it'll save you and arm and a leg from filing with these people.

The person who helped me was great, but the fee structure is ridiculous. For instance, I was charged a $50 fee for H&R Block to add the fact that I made $55 via foreign stock. That number was provided by my Brokerage document and only required someone writing $55 in a box on my return. And this is only one instance of their runaway fees. I'm single and don't own property. My taxes are about as simple as they come.

I had a pleasant experience with Wenjin. I had a phone appointment which she reached out about prior to and also the day of the phone appointment, she was prompt. About 2 weeks later, I had an in person appointment which Wenjin was ready for and had already started, using the information I provided to her before our in person appointment. She also gave me information I did not know to help maximize my financial goals and to help me start saving money by allocating money in a few different areas. I will definitely be using Wenjin again.

Lisa is so awesome. I'd recommend anyone to her, she speaks Chinese which was helpful to my mom. We were recommended to her and her service was exceptional. She was speedy and helped provide excellent service. We were in a time crunch and she was able to be flexible and fit us in late at night and early in the morning. I'm so glad we were recommended to her she made this process so easy for us! We're converted to H&R block, never doing our taxes ourself again.

The location is quiet and easy to find. It's clean inside and they have masks and hand sanitizer to use at your discretion. The tax prepares who helped me is super friendly and highly knowledgeable. 10/10 highly recommend

Asked James to submit my taxes as they were completed last day of the tax year. He didn't. Didn't return calls. Never returns calls. Doesn't reply to emails. Promises to set appointments. Doesn't. I am now late because of H and R block. No reason for any of this unprofessional service. Long time Block client, last time using them. James settle visits multiple HR block offices. Like all advisors doing this, your files may end up who knows where. And for how long who knows. How do you make a complaint or get compensated? Multiple calls to the various offices either unanswered or receptionists promising to pass on messages. What an unacceptable, embarassing sh1t show. THEY DO NOT CARE AND WONT PUT THINGS RIGHT

There's a lady in this office who supposedly been a tax pro for 20+ yrs but have absolutely no clue how 1099 works. Also, back in 2016 I had a tax preparer who also had little knowledge. This is why I've avoided H&R Block for years and now I'm officially done with this company
