I have been shopping at this store and Pleasanton Safeway for years and years. I drive over from Fremont. Raley's Pleasanton and Safeway have both gone off the rails when it comes to price. They are the two most expensive grocery stores in the city. The last 6 months at each of these stores, I have noticed fewer and fewer shoppers. The aisles are unburdened--why? Because of the cost. I am sad to say that even though I can actually afford their prices, I refuse to pay them. Done with both!

Old school grocery store vibe with decent selection. Check the dates on everything and inspect the produce thoroughly because I've had multiple occurances of both. Love this old pleasanton traditional grocery store.

Jake is a terrific young man and so ultra helpful. He went above and beyond for me when assisting with a delivery order that had not been retrieved from the delivery partner for Raleys in Pleasanton. It got figured out and he made it right. Turns out it was the wrong store for me where the delivery got routed on my app, but he continued to assist and help between multiple calls throughout the day.
He is a super pleasant and helpful guy and that's so nice to see!!

Do NOT buy things here. They just claimed things not returnable (ALL over the counter) because they posted sign somewhere, and surprisingly this is not illegal. Just time I feel a chain store is a scam.

Today I got horrible customer service experience at deli counter just now Two male deli associate around age of 25 were having conversations when I came in. No customer in front of deli except me. They keep talking and pretended not seeing me. After waiting for a while I said excuse me and nicely requested for the service. They stop talking and come and served me with full of attitude. After I got my items and when I said thank you, no response. And no name tags were wearing. But all the stores installed cctv and don’t need name tag to know who they are if they really want to know. People can rude, I understand that but they’re representing Raley’s at that time, the stores which are prioritizing on quality and customer service.Attached is the receipt with date and time.

Horrible Self-Checkout
You have to “CLIP” DIGITAL COUPONS to get any sales deal. (This is HOW THEY TRACK our SPENDING & COLLECT PERSONAL DATA) But the procedure is really obscure, non intuitive, and you always need to ask for help to understand how to apply discounts (the help requests are always met with EYE ROLLS & SARCASM by Store Staff) Even when you use the Raley’s App “for something extra” there is no explanation or clear instructions posted anywhere.
In summary: I’ve NEVER had an stress-free or smooth shopping experience at this store. I only come here for emergencies which is such a waste, considering I live two blocks away and would be great to be able to count on this neighborhood supermarket for weekly groceries.

I have been a loyal customer for going on 12: years. I have found the staff to be courteous, helpful and friendly so the level of customer service has always been good. Two employees in the prepared foods section deserve special recognition. Jennifer and Tony have prepared breakfast sandwiches for me over the years and have been extremely professional and diligent with the food prep. I consider them to be friends and they elevate the shopping experience at Raleys and deserve the recognition. Thank you.

I spend my hard earned money in here at Raley’s in Pleasanton CA, just to be treated rudely and it’s unacceptable. the cashier, a heavy set Caucasian woman with eye glasses and blonidish hair, carried on her conversation with the shopper after she bagged his groceries and checked him out. I waited and waited and after sometime he left and, I walked up and she didn’t say hello, you could feel that she didn’t really want to help me, just a stone cold face. I was getting ready to pay when a tall Caucasian guy walked up and was very sarcastic about a bag being needed, that I actually didn’t end up needing. as I was waiting for him to finish bagging my groceries, my son walked up to take the groceries and seen we had enough room after all.
What’s really sad is that the night manager or supervisor who had shoulder length brown hair just watched this from the small customer counter. Is this a family run store where they could care less how bad they treat customers? Is this type of behavior okay with the store owners? Not sure why she couldn’t say hello but could talk to that guy like she was just so happy. My money spends the same as anyone else’s. This has happened twice before, and now again? I have to finally say something about it. Employees like her and the sacked shouldn’t work with the public. I hope the store manager runs the video to look back at this event. it occurred tonight, 12-1, around sevenish, I have dark brown hair and had on black leggings and a black jacket and my son wore a beanie, eye glasses, black shirt and blue jeans, he walked up toward the end of my transaction.
Even though I was dressed down tonight, it goes to show that the cashier and the sacker make assumptions based on how a person is dressed. I hope CEO of Raley’s, Keith Knopf is able to view my post, and address it with his employees.

They have everything to meet your daily grocery needs. Their prices are pretty comparable with other places.
