I been to their saouth Lake Tahoe location on 3rd of nov.The bakery was full of expired stuff. When I told it to the management they say they know.Hopefully Safeway headquarters will take care of that matter. If Safeway headquarters want to confirm that information I have all the info that bakery manager is doing all the stuff wrong and the store manager is helping her because they are friends . I will really like to talk to Safeway HQ.

I would go lower but can’t, the bathrooms at the American Canyon Safeway’ smellTerrible . All you smell is per . The bathrooms stink and are rawly cleaned if ever it seems. There is game graffiti on the doors and walls as well. It is worse the a dirty highway truck stop bathroom. Plus the produce section is going downhill, so far theee times we have bought lettuce or tomatoes there only for it to go bad the next day.

You have made your receipts HARDER TO READ and are inconveniencing the customer by making him or her do more work analyzing JUST to make sure you didn't rip them off. I hope you catch another class action. I love getting checks in the mail.Oh. And in addition, I'm a consumer watchdog and I like to made videos for lawyers to use as reference.What's going to happen is that you are going to get caught AGAIN stealing and defrauding customers one penny or one incorrect pricetag at a time.I also hope you catch a separate class action charging customers for bags they did not want, asked for, or agreed to purchase.

I would like to report an employee working at Safeway in Countrywood, Walnut Creek, name Rebecca, for an extremely rude and disrespectful interaction with me as a customer, in Starbucks location. Yes, this Safeway was renovated and it looks beautiful but unfortunately some of the employees lack basic people’s skills! She is one of them, I ordered coffee and after trying it, I told the other lady, the coffee tastes sour and I can’t drink it. She got mad and started talking to me in a raised voice and rolling her eyes and whispering something to the other employee in front of me. I did report her to the manager of the store and I heard from someone there are other complaints against her. She shows Safeway in a bad light and she should never deal directly with customers, especially working in a place like Starbucks! I used to get coffee there twice a day but now I am disappointed and discouraged. The immediate action should be taken against this employee so she can learn how to treat customers with respect. There are many kind and nice people in need of a job and they deserve a position at Safeway, not someone like her who puts clients down and thinks it’s okay to get away with it!

Shoplifting at the Auburn, CA store located at 2550 Bell Road is completely out of control. I shop at this store several times per week and 1/3 of the time I am there I see people who may be homeless by their appearance grab armfuls of groceries and walk right out the door without paying for anything. Not a single thing is done to deter this rampant theft. This is becoming a regular occurrence as the thieves apparently tell others that Safeway does nothing to stop thieves from stealing. As a loyal shopper I watch as my grocer bill goes through the roof and yet Safeway does nothing to stop the blatant, rampant thefts from occurring. What sort of business model allows this go unchecked? Safeway you need to step up and solve this problem now.Of course every telephone number I am given for Safeway Corporate Offices in Pleasanton, CA send me to an offshore operator who does nothing all to address anything except apologize for everything. Bought a gift card, have the receipt and the authorization slip. The gift card does not work. Took it back to the store, they will not refund it and will not replace it. I have to call an 800 number. 4 phone calls later and 39 days in and there is no resolution and no customer service. Every time I call to try to get resolution, they kick the can down the road and say the call back time frame is 5 days. It has been 39 days and I have no call back. This is absolutely ridiculous. Do not ever buy a gift card from Safeway it is a scam, they will take your money and you will have nothing to show for it.

Your new tactics for theft...not cool.Safeway, consider trying to help the people that are stealing food from your stores instead of shaming them. People don't steal food because they want to.You give mightily during the holidays, try doing that everyday by having a day old section in your store where people can get what they need without having to steal it. I know a lot of people steal liquor but if you have some that not selling just give it away...I'm sure there will be some type of tax write off for the company. It may seem to you that you are contributing to bad behavior but as long as it's not a minor...let it go and move on. Why not help the people and your bottom line at the same time.Cheers!

I was at the green valley Safeway yesterday. I went to the deli counter abd asked for ham, thin not shaved. Got shaved. I then asked for a chunk of liverwurst,. The clerk said the blades are only so big and could not do it. I explained that i asked for the same thing half a dozen times and received it without question. The clerk started shaking her head and rolled her eyes so hard the almost came out the back. She made some type of guttural noise that i cannot describe. I told her to forget it and walked away embarrassed and angry. I'm a 60 year old and never been treated like a petulant child.

Modesto safeway, Tatiana at the deli was so kind to open up the deli for me after she closed to catch up on work. I really appreciated it. I would like to give her 5 ?!

I love in Sacramento and shop at Safeway at Elkhorn Blaza.I love Thier sour dough french bread.For 3 weeks now either no one was working in the Bakery or they have nothing to make Sourdough french bread.Why is that?

I live in a small rural town I have 2 options Safeway or Walmart I would buy some stuff like produce at Safeway because it’s usually better. I am also disabled so having delivery is a valuable convenience for me except for this week when I was shorted 2 days in a row for which they blamed DoorDash which was a lie and then the 3rd delivery wasn’t my order at all. The manager actually called me but must have forgotten when she hung up on me the customer service dept told me they had no idea what the managers name was and when I told her I was going to call the corporate office she said “fine” hung up. The lady I spoke too was wonderful she actually calmed me down and put in a case number for review told me the DM would get back to me. That didn’t happen the manager called me back offering to gift me money in gift cards but still would not divulge her full name to me stating that it was not needed. She said she was to busy to take my call but that she was so very sorry this had happened 3 times in a row that it must be DoorDash to which I responded that I’d already talked to them and I knew that was not the case she fell silent then said oh it must be a new employee then but next time just ask for Andrea I’m the only Andrea here. After hanging up I looked at my iPhone and sure enough there was her name next to the call that took this whole ride down the rabbit hole still no call from DM. I’ll never shop there again, what happened to customer service?

For the Newark CA store ...1. Prices are high2. Can get better produce at a cheaper price with little effort.3. Store sometimes looks like a Walmart that's been picked over by customers.4. Checkers complain to each other ... in front of the customer ... about staff personalities, store politics, the company etc. I've experienced it several times.
