I have gotten to work with, work for, and be a client for Valley Humane and every time I come away deeply impressed by their care, love, and thoughtfulness to everyone coming in their doors, two or four legged. Their facilities are beautiful, their services are exceptional, and their animals are wonderful.

We adopted two cats from this place (bonded pair). The staff were really friendly and answered all our questions. Also, we were given a pet starter bag. They take very good care of the animals and ensure they are microchipped before adoption. Our cats had also been given some of their initial vaccinations.
Valley Humane Society (VHS) is a private, nonprofit 501(c)3 animal welfare organization located in Pleasanton, CA. Envisioning a world in which every animal is loved and every person knows the love of an animal, VHS has served the Tri-Valley since 1987. VHS creates a brighter future for cats and dogs by encouraging and strengthening the bond between people and pets through lifesaving rescue and adoption programs, children's humane education, AniMeals pet food pantry, Canine Comfort pet therapy, Paws to Read, volunteer opportunities, and other programs and services. Valley Humane Society is funded primarily by private donations and does not receive government funding, tax dollars, or money from national humane organizations.
