Having visited Story Winery twice this week, I was enchanted by the experience. Attending their monthly Georgian Supra feast was a highlight, drawing me back the following day before leaving town. Perched atop a hill, the winery provides a mesmerizing view from its deck, creating the perfect backdrop for indulging in their exceptional wines amid a stunning sunset.Gracious hosts Dato and Giorgi, accompanied by the heart-melting friendliness of Simba, the winery dog, added an extra layer of warmth to the experience. Unable to resist the allure, I brought home a couple of cases of their exceptional wines. Rated , the beauty of Story Winery left me thrilled.Make sure not to miss their social media updates; they host events a few times a year, offering not only amazing wine but also the opportunity to savor delectable Georgian cuisine. Story Winery is truly a gem, seamlessly blending nature's beauty, warm hospitality, and exceptional wines.

One our favourite wineries in California. Beautiful Zins, GSM, Barberas and other terrific reds, along with their Georgian reds and beautiful amber wines. When you visit, ask about their in ground, clay urns. Truly inspiring! Always a warm welcome for both us and the pups, and friendly, congenial service from the wine maker, family and staff! Couldn't ask for more. NOT TO BE MISSED!

Gio never disappoints. Here's another winery not to belly up to the tasting bar to. But please allow a couple of hours and throughly taste and learn about the Story family of wines. We discovered this Georgian winery last year and fell in love. It's rare to find a winery that is willing or wants to spend almost two hours with a group to explain and describe what they are creating- an old world style of wine. Georgia is the oldest wine producing region in the world. Their valleys and slopes in the South Caucasus have produced wine for at 8000 years. Gio and the staff bring that heritage and knowledge to California to create some fabulous wines. Some Kvevri clay jars wines are available here. They have a unique taste of their own. Not available for tasting are two special labels created by the winemaker- Sokootok and Palachak. Knowing how great the wine here are, two people in the group bought a the bottles to share. Absolutely amazing. I ended up buying the Sokootok to bring home. Still in the fence about sharing. :). Situated in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley overlooking the Cosumnes River Canyon, you can't beat the views on a beautiful fall day. Taste, savor, and be educated. They have a large gravel parking lot. Simba, the rottie, is sweet and greets everyone upon arrival. Please don't feed him. He doesn't even ask. He just happy you're there.

This was an awesome winery. Amazing views and great wine. I loved learning about the Georgian process. Service was impeccable. There is a lot of wines so everyone should be able to find something to fit their palate. I wish we lived closer because we would have become member for sure. i cant wait to visit Story Winery again.

Beautiful location and place! Definitely a stop while in this area to visit. Leaned a ton from Giorgi on Georgian wines and their process and methods of making historical wines. Tasted us on a bunch of different wines and styles! Oh by the way, you can bring your lunch and enjoy while you enjoy the landmark views and wines! You

I had a fantastic experience at Story Winery. The views from the tasting room are incredible, and the host Joey was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He took the time to explain the different wines to us and let us try a variety of wines. The wine was fantastic, and we ended up buying a few bottles to take home. I would highly recommend Story Winery to anyone looking for a great wine experience with a very unique story.

AMAZING!!!! The whole experience wrapped up in one word. Not hard to find but be warned the road up does get narrow. Better yet, get a DD or get an uber because ain't no one gonna be driving after tasting here. The whole grounds are absolutely stunning and you're immediately greeted by the beautiful Rottweiler, Simba. They have a pretty extensive tasting list which I really enjoyed and we definitely got our moneys worth with the tasting. David took such great care of us and we had such a good time chatting with him. I loved how passionate he was to share about their wine and Georgian history. Something really amazing about this place ( other than Simba and and the views and the wines ) is that they make some of their wines in Georgian Clay pots underground! It's truly amazing to learn about and the you taste and feel the familial and natural vibes that envelop this beautiful place. Story has definitely made the top of my lists and everyone NEEDS to experience a tasting here.

What a great place to visit. David imports excellent Georgian wines made in the traditional style, but also has his own take on his estate California wines that have more minerality and balance than you often fine in Amador. Very nice wines across the board. Gorgeous views and wonderful hospitality. I tasted many wines, bought 16 bottles and joined the club. That is pretty much the ultimate recommendation! The Rotty that greets you is a great winery dog.

Story is different than other Amador wineries. The good kind of different. Some of the best views in Amador even on a February afternoon.
