My sister and I stayed at Windsong for five days to explore Point Reyes. It was a perfect location for getting out and exploring as well as tasting local cheeses and mead. The cottage itself was amazing. Such an adorable building and it was soooo quiet. We even had Jack rabbits hopping by while sipping coffee. They provided a lovely food basket, eggs, juice and coffee. Nights in the hot tub looking at stars were the best way to finish each night.

We had two days of undisturbed peace and comfort here. The Yurt is thoughtfully prepared and exceptionally maintained from the hot tub to the fireplace to the well-stocked kitchen. We stayed inside the entire trip and were not once disturbed - everything was quiet and conducive to relaxation. We cooked all our meals (Palace Market in town is not far and has a fantastic selection) without lacking for any utensils or cookware, had plenty of firewood to maintain a comfortable temperature, enjoyed the pristine hot tub each evening and slept very well on the medium-firm bed with soft pillows and comforter. The shower is lovely with great pressure, though the hot water does start to cool down after about 15 minutes. We plan on coming back - ideally for a lot longer than a mid-week getaway. Highly, highly recommended!

During our stay at Pt Reyes we had two distinctive experiences. The first was getting to spend some time at Pt Reyes and the second was enjoying The Windsong Cottage. Pt Reyes was awesome and we'll definitely be back. However, getting to stay at The Windsong Cottage was a special treat and what really made our visit. The cottage is a masterpiece. I've always wanted to have a vacation home but The Windsong Cottage meets or exceeds everything that I'd ever thought about having in my fantasy vacation home. My overall feeling is gratitude to the owners for creating this masterpiece and allowing the rest of us to use it. I really hope we have the opportunity to go there again. But my wife tells me that you have to book well in advance… sigh…I want to carry on about everything that's awesome about the cottage… there are so many things… here are a few… It's well stocked with fun stuff to eat. My wife wants me to rave about the English muffins… along with the jam/jelly samples and butter… they also left us a bowl of eggs in the refrigerator… there were so many little, thoughtful flourishes that totally weren't lost on us. Some train of thought recollections... They provided Saran Wrap for covering our To Go stuff in the refrigerator. There was a delightful assortment of books from which to browse. And how could I write anything without mentioning the hot tub… What an absolute delight… the furnishings are nicer than what we have in our house. And everything was amazingly clean and well maintained… I loved the tile work in the shower… Even took a photo of it… Another nice touch was having a bench right there at the entryway for putting on your shoes… there was an abundance of electrical outlets and I loved the blooming lavender just out the window. It was a mystery as to how they were blooming at this time of year. I've only just scratched the surface. I really do hope that we can get reservations to stay there again… I have no interest in staying anywhere else in the Pt Reyes area. Finally, we'd both like to express our gratitude this wonder together and letting us use it.Many thanks,Larry and Donna -

The authentic and genuine nature of the hosts match the lovely oasis they have created in the yurt cottage. We stayed 2 nights during a full moon and a rainstorm and it was the perfect place to be: a view almost all around, a view of the moon overhead, a very perfectly hot hot tub, privacy, peace and quiet, yummy coffee and breakfast provided. It really doesn't get any better than this. Plus you have Pt Reyes at your doorstep. We kayaked and hiked and ate wonderful food in town, walking distance for folks who want to stay out of the car for a day. Perfect vacation!

Incredible experience. There is really nothing like waking up with a cup of coffee in the hot tub in the private garden, and then hot tubbing again at night looking up at the bright stars, far from the city. Very friendly and professional customer service. Cannot recommend enough!

What a great hideaway! I heard no noise other than birds singing the two days I was there. Great place to stay if you are looking to escape the city and enjoy a pastoral setting. Point Reyes Station is an easy car ride away. I enjoyed the wood burning stove because it was unseasonably cold and windy...and the hot tub is conveniently situated right outside the door. The owner, Tony, came by to say hi which was sweet and welcoming. Fruit, eggs, English muffins, coffee and cream added a nice touch.

We loved this place so much. We stayed for 4 nights. So peaceful, comfortable, relaxing. What a nice hot tub treat after a day of biking or hiking. Loved the quiet. Such a welcome retreat from our busy lives. We will be back.

I was expecting something quiet and off the beaten path, and this was. You turn off the main road to a dusty gravel path, past fields for livestock. The caretaker was there and she was lovely. She went to town to get us fresh fruit. But the yurt itself shows signs of neglect, how hard is it to replace a dirty and split binder with updated information and clean sleeves? The appliances were decades old, the screens did not fit tightly, there was no hair dryer, the kitchen cupboards were faded and scuffed up, the kitchen knives were dull. The hot tub was hot and clean. You can see the sunset from the wide windows. This is not a BNB in the sense some one makes breakfast for you. They stock it with 6 eggs, English muffins, butter, jam, fruit and orange juice. Never did see the owner. Needs some attention or people will stop coming. This is not located in a location where you can take an evening stroll. Adequate but not what I expect at this price point.

We really appreciated our stay in the yurt / roundhouse. It’s a delightfully secluded spot and dead silent at night. The place is cosy and having some food and drink provided on arrival is a lovely touch. The bed is massive and very comfy too. With Wi-fi, a music center and a fireplace you really have all you need! A visit here makes for a great break away from the city. Be sure to visit Station for needed supplies, and take a walk along the nearby Tomales Bay trail.

Stayed in the Windsong Yurt. It is fabulous. Great views, great hospitality, basket of fruit and muffins and eggs, coffee, OJ all waiting for us. Just a relaxing and great experience. Oh, and they have a hot tub.

This place is perfect! Has everything needed for a nice get away. Just far enough away to feel secluded, just close enough to be accessible to some of the areas best attractions. Can't wait to return!
