These folks are the best. They always remember me, and are always kind and accurate. I know they're kept busy, but they always manage to be expeditious and fully present when it's my turn! Having worked in customer service, I just wanted to acknowledge their great attitude and work ethic.

Pharmacy worker stated doctor denied my prescription 10/30 and 11/2 making me call my doctor over and over again. Doctor put in refill on 10/30. I was denied my medication by Pharmacy worker causing me to have a medical emergency. This is the worst Pharmacy I have ever dealt with I am changing yo a new Pharmacy.

I just bbq’d one of the best ribeye steaks I’ve ever had!! It was packaged today and was super tender, amazing flavor!! Last weekend, I ordered 2 giant subs from the deli and they were making them when I arrived! Very fresh and nicely loaded…just wanted to do a shout out to the Safeway staff, you don’t have easy jobs, but wanted to make sure you know you are appreciated by us locals ?

This store never plans accordingly for seasonal travelers, weather events or peak shopping periods. Meaning: they are consistently out of stock of essential items. You cannot depend on doing weekly shopping here if you meal plan or want to shop for usual items because of the stocking issues here. No, it has nothing to do with supply chain issues. This has been happening since we moved here in 2018. The manager Johnny seems checked out for the most part. Doesn't care one way or the other, Nd he isn't the most approachable person. Admittedly this is a difficult location to manage, but you can tell his heart just is not in it. I placed an online order based on items that were in stock. The most important items I needed were unavailable despite stating they were available online. I called corporate and was told that items are not marked out of stock until they are shopped. How is this efficient and not a waste of my time? This location is good if you need items in a pinch. Otherwise, I would avoid shopping here if you're a local and make your way to Placerville. Plenty of options there without these frustrating issues.

To the woman who was working in the dairy department restocking, THANK YOU!!! She went above and beyond today and actually went and looked if they had the creamer I was in desperate need of. Instead of saying just "no" or "we don't have it" she actually went and LOOKED I feel someone who is willing to go and do that deserves a 5 star. Thank you for doing your job, and helping me.

Generally a good grocery store with good selection, nice produce amazing plants and great meat department. However they could use more cashiers to offset the number of tourists that stop here as a last stop before Tahoe

This Safeway is a covid-19 train wreck.the butcher in the meat department is not wearing a face mask. More than half of the customers are not wearing face masks. No one is practicing social distancing. Unmasked people are handling merchandise and putting it back on the counter. of course they do have signs at the entrance saying that you shall not enter the store without a face mask. See photos for details. Meat department employee pictured in photos not wearing a mask.

I have been a Safeway shopper for years. I was excited when moving to this area to have a Safeway near my home. Unfortunately, the Pollock Pines Safeway is always understaffed, and in poor condition. The shelf's are empty on a Friday afternoon, the produce is a mess and looks terrible. In fact yesterday there were only two heads of lettuce that were both old and wilted. The store is dirty on the inside and the exterior is in need of repair. It's apparent that the main corporation of Safeway has ignored this store.

I stopped in to buy a coffee at Starbuck's and did not feel safe at all. There were SO MANY people walking around maskless, or with their masks pulled down and noses hanging out. If Safeway doesn't care enough about their employees health, or the health of the general public to enforce the mask mandate, I will NOT give them my business. I am shocked at how many uneducated, or maybe just uncaring people there were in this area. Good luck with that, Pollock Pines.

Safeway is the same Safeway everywhere. Nothing against the products or company. However, rules are rules, so why are there so many people that come into this store and allowed to just walk around mask less, hanging it under their face, nose out, dangling off one ear... Where's management for this store? Yea we get it. No one likes masks. Masks suck, but so does getting the 'Rona...suck it up and be less selfish. There has consistently been 25-30 % non mask wearing patrons each time I've stopped in here for necessities.

This is my local Safeway, I live right down the road from this location. I've had little issues coming here in the past, customer service has always been good, but lately it's gotten way worse, especially with Covid. I'm a nurse and I've seen firsthand how SICK people get from this virus, people who cannot BREATHE, people who need an artificial airway because the virus has made them so ill, and there is no space in the morgue after people have passed. It's REAL. So to my surprise, witnessing the amount of anti-maskers who go here has all but disgusted me. The cherry on top is seeing one of their freight guys, an employee with a Safeway shirt on, unloading product on end shelves without a mask on. So even staff don't care or are complacent. Or the woman at self checkout reaching over and into the basket of shopping bags without a mask, speaking over it, thus contaminating the whole batch of bags. I don't understand this at all. Lastly, yesterday as I was going through self checkout, 3 staff people were standing at the kiosk chatting it up, while two shoppers ahead of myself and another man were blocking 2 empty self checkouts. You'd think that in times of a pandemic there would be even greater action to expedite people in and out of a store, but no, the 3 people at the kiosk could care less, their conversation much more important than paying attention at work, and so I had to politely ask the 2 shoppers if they could move their carts so that the other guy and myself could checkout and leave this place. I realize it's not the end of the world, but I am asking that people do their job and be aware of their work area. I cannot say I'll be back to this location again, and will take my shopping to Raley's in Placerville instead. At least people are more considerate there of the elderly and what this virus could do, you know they mask up, and you can even get curbside pickup there. And I do hope the Safeway staff are aware of these reviews and take it upon themselves to do better and try to ensure their safety and shoppers' safety by enforcing masking with the customers and their own staff.

Visited there a couple of weeks ago and 10-20% of the customers were not wearing masks. The store is fine but it left me with a skeevy feeling. Wiped down my purchases when I got back to our B&B. If you're from out of town visiting you might want to consider bringing your own food from your local store. Where I live 100% of the people wear masks. This review is nothing against the store itself except for the fact they were not enforcing the mask rule. At all.
