Disappointed... Well, I typically don't bother with leaving reviews, as I've had decent experiences in the past, but this one really left a sour taste. It's my first time feeling let down. Nowadays, we rely so much on reviews to guide us to good businesses, and this time, it led me astray.
Found this place with glowing reviews and almost a perfect score. Called them up about my '90 Corolla needing transmission work. They assured me they could handle it. So, I dropped by, was greeted by the owner's wife and spoke about the automotive world, pleasant enough. Robin, her husband said my car is in good hands, promises to call by Monday or Tuesday with an update. But days go by, no word. Called twice within the week, no answer. So, I decided to visit the shop on Friday, that’s when I spoke to Robin, it turns out, they can't find a transmission. Fine, but a courtesy call would've been nice.
Robin again says he will continue to look and will update me on the following week. Finally, after two weeks of radio silence, they called me and let me know I needed to pick up my car. Disappointed, two weeks of wasted time. I showed up Friday, no apology, just "keys are in the car and goodbye."
The cherry on top was when I saw my car with motor/ transmission oil streaks on the hood and window (you think they take care of other people’s property) , it was a mess. My car is old but come on… this just shows they don’t care. I drove out the lot, fuming and took it to another shop who found a transmission for my corolla within two hours of me calling.
The lack of communication, the wasted time, the disrespect for my vehicle—disappointing doesn't even begin to cover it. Moreover, my car came out with more issues than I took her in. I’m not discrediting the other reviews they had but my experience was not a good one and unfortunately it happens, but this is just bad business etiquette. If you can’t handle a job or don’t want to do it, it’s ok to say “no”.

Best transmission shop🥳 I got a rebuild and now it’s working better than ever, I also noticed a few other things were done to my car that was free of charge, and now it’s working better than when I brought it in. Thank you again😊

I had my daughter's transmission rebuilt 3 years ago here, and she has had no issues. I also had my transmission rebuilt on my 2015 Tahoe as well here. Quality work at an honest price. Robin is a great guy!

After getting a ridiculous quote from Ford of Upland of $6700 for rebuilding the transmission and it was going to take 3 weeks, I was referred to Robin at Foothill Transmission and right away he reassured me that he could rebuild the transmission for $2500 total. He had my car done in a week and I just felt he really cares about his customers and he is genuinely looking out for you. I will refer everyone to him and get my transmission maintained every 40k miles at his shop!!Service: Transmission

Robin should be president of this country. Such a sweet, generous soul. He helped me safety check my teen's Chevy Malibu for next to nothing - what a guy. I hope he gets to be mayor of heaven. I will buy him pizza for the rest of his life - i hope it's a long one. xoxoxox
