“Marlene is a bright woman who typically grasps the best approach for your case—but that’s where her strengths end. Her biggest weakness is follow-through, which is just as critical to client satisfaction as her initial strategy. She tends to overextend herself, frequently misses deadlines, fails to return calls or messages in a timely manner (if at all), and doesn’t respect how crucial timing can be to her client’s success. She handled a couple of evictions and a wage garnishment for me. In the wage garnishment case, she missed a January deadline, forcing me to refile the entire matter from scratch. That process dragged on for seven months, partly due to her delays and frequent errors. I had to refile the paperwork at least seven times due to rejections by the sheriff’s office. When the paperwork was finally accepted, the respondent filed a claim of exemption—which required a response within 10 days. That’s when her office told me she was out of the country. I received no callback, no email, no follow-up of any kind, and her office stopped answering my calls. She simply vanished at the most critical moment, leaving me scrambling to find another provider. If you want your case handled competently from start to finish and within deadlines, I recommend looking elsewhere. In the days after this review, Marlene became highly responsive and proactive. Thanks to her swift work, I obtained all the necessary documents, filed the opposition to the respondent's claim of exemption within the 10-day deadline, and secured a court date -- a job well done.”
