I’ve been w NFCU for over 20years! They have generally been professional and kind. In this location, I find them to be a little ‘stiff’ sometimes (not to mention any names), although almost always professional. ALYSSA has been Exceptionally warm, kind and Above & Beyond Helpful. I wish All the workers would follow her example. She made us feel Welcome and like Family. They have a rule that we can’t ask for the same person that we were comfortable with. So Alyssa was going to assist me in opening up another CD account on a weekday(instead of that Saturday) but was deterred by another Employee unfortunately:(( And so I haven’t opened another CD acct. In fact, I introduced my Boyfriend to NFCU that day and Alyssa also helped him. He will open a CD acct and was thinking of banking w NFCU; but he was also Deterred by this rule. I understand Shortage of staff (as I am a Nurse), but felt Alyssa was being held back specifically in helping us in the future. Because of this, I still haven’t been able to open another CD acct. Alyssa specifically knew my case so to me, it was important to return to her.. No ‘gift’ for bringing in my Boyfriend either:( All this aside, Is it too much of a request to atleast be Welcoming and treat us as one of your Family? It’s not just about this Rule but more importantly about How abrasively or Stiffly it was Conveyed to me by certain staff. Nothing personal, just noted. Thank you ??

Not sure what was going on at this branch on a Wednesday around 11ish but goodness. Only having 1 agent for customer service department during my visit is a little sad. 4 people waiting to conduct business that a bank teller could not conduct so leaving customers at a 30-40 min wait time. I usually see banks with at least 2-3 customer service reps plus 2-3 actual bank tellers. Please: have more staff available in CSR Department as time is money. 1 rep is not helping any customers satisfaction.

nfcu bank only caters to the white upper class of Oxnard.. my husband went in there and was escorted out by the management saying that a customer was scared and felt threatened by him giving the bikers pointer and pinky finger out to represent another bikers way of saying hello... so the manager calls the police they watched him like he was a threat!!! wow!!! we will be closing our accounts and going to a place that values our business... how and why would u side with one customer and punish the other?? businesses are to stay neutral... they thought he flipped someone off but they were wrong however my husband was never asked what happened... they just profiled him cause he has long hair and rides a Harley and guess what else?? This retires Marine Core Veteran has an AA for criminal law... this was the branch on Channel Island rd across the street from the base... you'll be hearing from our lawyer!!

Went into this branch I am from San Diego to get my loan check correct that they messed up before she promised to do.it correct and when I got to the dealership she put the wri g name on it again. Now I am sitting in the dealership hoping that they take it or I have to go back to the bank tomorrow to get a new check issued. I have had to drive the 46 miles three times now because of the mistakes they keep making and then they say oh sorry nothing we can do. Absolutely the worst service. This branch is terrible.

Been a member for quite some time, I've taken out a few loans for for vehicles with no problems. I've never had any issues, though, it was a bummer when the coin machine was taken out. There is a steady stream of customers and if you need to do anything beyond using an ATM, there is a bit of a wait.

Banking with Navy Federal has been nothing short of a headache inducing experience for me. Here's why: *Navy Federal car/home loan amounts are low when compared to other credit unions (I qualify for much larger loans with BECU for example). Yes the interest rates are lower with Navy Federal BUT the loan amounts are low as well. *Navy Federal credit card limits are also lower compared to other credit unions. I have 800+ credit score and $15k in cash reserves with Navy Federal yet for reasons that Navy Federal fails to elaborate on, I fail to qualify for Navy Federal's premier credit cards. I was SHOCKED when Navy Federal rejected my application for their Flagship Rewards credit card despite having credit cards with other credit unions and credit card companies with credit limits between $10k-$20k. *The lines of credit amounts available to me are embarrassingly low. I had to fight tooth and nail to get Navy Federal to establish a line of credit for me, in the end they gave me line of credit with a paltry limit of $500....meanwhile I have a $5k line of credit with another credit union (BECU). *Taxes. Looking to obtain your tax forms online with Navy Federal? NOPE. Can't do that. Navy Federal is insistent on physically mailing tax documents via USPS. This was particularly annoying for me since Navy Federal kept mailing my tax forms to the wrong address. It got so bad I drove 2 hours from where I live to the nearest Navy Federal credit union (Port Hueneme branch) to try and obtain my tax documents. I was told by the Navy Federal customer service rep at this location that I could not have my tax documents printed at the branch (despite being told otherwise by another Navy Federal customer service rep over the phone). TLDR: Look somewhere else. Navy Federal may seem great on paper but their financial products are extremely mediocre especially when compared to other credit unions. Definitely shop around. I'm canceling my Navy Federal account and taking my business elsewhere asap.

Customer service was not helpful. Said I had to make an appointment and there was no one in the bank. Had plenty of staff not helping anyone. Seems to me everyone has an excuse. They gave me a 1-800 number to call for help unacceptable! So, much for customer service from these young kids.

I believe I spoke to Dave at this branch. He went above and beyond for me. He was very professional, knew the products, and was able to assist me with my matter. He definitely reminded me why I have so much business with Navy federal and will continue making business with them
