Very few items are priced 99 cents anymore. The place looks very junky and dirty inside. A lot of items don't have a price or one item is marked at a discount and the exact same item sitting next to it doesn't have a discount. Very inconsistent in being anything worth shopping at.

As the inflation not many 99 cent items any more. I got a watermelon for $4.50Taking 2 stars off, the watermelon has gone bad. It cracked and oozed smelly juice juice on my coutertop.Like one of the reviews mentioned their prices are not cheap and the qualities are questionable.I will never shop there again.

Many times at this particular store, especially with seasonal product the price is overridden to higher price by store keepers.

Most things are more expensive here than at a regular store now. I know, I know - inflation, inflation, blah blah blah. It's not inflation, it's that they don't even have good deals compared to other stores. They don't even try to be a dollar store or anything close anymore; things are $2.99, $3.99, whatever. You will be getting the same thing at the same price (or higher) and often with questionable quality or short expiration dates.

Check your items as they are scanned. Prices are usually wrong. Expect long waits at check out snd a dirty store.

I wanted to tell you about an experience I had today at the Poway store. At 5:17pm I was going through the register with 9 items. When it came time to give me my change, Johathan gave me a very crumbled and very torn one dollar bill. This bill was in very bad condition and probably should not have been in circulation. I asked Johathan if I could get a different bill that wasn't so damaged because I was going to use it in the water vending machine. He said it was company policy and that he could open the cash door (the same one he had just opened and closed). I explained to him that I knew that bill would not be accepted by the water vending machine. His reply was "I'm sorry you don't like the bill". I told him it's not me that doesn't like the bill, it's the vending machine. I asked to speak to the manager and this person standing there identified herself as the manager. She just repeated the same thing "it's our policy....". This old lady (the manager) was rude and showed no ability to reason. I finally told her "I come into this store about once every 3-months, after this I won't be coming back" She replied, "Great, go to Walmart". At times I can have a pretty sharp tongue. Fortunately I didn't say anything. I have hired well over 100 employees. If I ever heard an employee talk to a customer that way that "lady" did, I would have fired her on the spot.
