We took our kitten Tiger here last Thursday at 12:30 am. The staff was amazing, very kind, and very professional. The Dr. was very thorough, which was comforting. After 2.5 hrs, they found the issue, which gave us a big sense of relief. It's been 1 week now, and the medicine they provided did the job.

Last night my dog (13-ish year old shepherd X) started vomiting, shivering, was very lethargic, and had no appetite. My regular vet had told me this could be a warning sign that her Cushings Disease was in a severe phase, and to take her to a hospital immediately. I chose Animal Emergency Clinic of San Diego in Poway, and I am SO glad I did. Great caring staff, communicative veterinarian (Dr. Drew Wishnack) - everyone was kind and very respectful of my dog AND me. And, frankly, not horribly expensive - with a nice discount because I am a senior citizen. Today my dog is back home, much better, lots of testing done to rule out some scary things, with medications and a plan to get her completely back to normal. Can’t say enough good things about this clinic!

Most caring and sincerely concerned people I've ever met at a vets. A special thank you to Sarah who couldn't have been nicer and more sympathetic. She made the experience of losing our 16 year old sweet Chihuahua a little more bearable. She was the greatest ! Allowing his girlfriend's to come and say goodbye I thought was one of the nicest things that I've ever heard of. Picture 3. Also a special thank you to Dr Drew who called us the following day to give his condolences and ask if we had any question that he could answer. I was very touched by this . A special thank you to all the staff members that were involved in the care of my sweet Goliath❤️

So I live in Vista and my Frenchie was having a hard time breathing and sounding like he was congested or something I couldnt figure it out. I took him to the closest emergency vet to me witch was in San Marcos the wait time was over 4 hours. I called the next Vet and they told me to come in there wasnt a wait. I drive to Poway & they took him in right away. I didnt really get a diagnosis or answer to why he was having some kind of allergic reaction. The Doctor came out to talk to me and said they would give him a steroid shot and some benadryl. I took him home and the first night he was about the same I almost took him back again but I decided to wait and keep giving him the benadryl and by the next day he sneezed a bunch of times and that was it. It must have been something stuck in his nose or allergies that was causing it. Everything cleared up thank god ! Not sure if I would drive the distance from Vista I'm just glad my dog is ok I wish I knew the cause so I can be more careful of whatever it was that caused it

Animal Emergency Clinic is the best. They took excellent care of my 12 week old puppy. The staff and the doctor explained everything to me and my puppy is 100 percent better. I highly recommend them.

The best hands down the emergency pet hospital!!! Our little girl had bladder stones and had we not taken her in when we did I don’t think she would be here now!!! From the first call to the staff at the front desk, Dr.Drew and all of the vet assistants had to be the nicest people. You know they take care of your pet like it was their own. They also take care of the owner. They did not hesitate to allow me in the back to see the ultrasound. They don’t hide anything. I cannot thank them enough. YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!

Each staff member expressed genuine concern and urgency for my dog. The staff spoke to us empathetically while giving options of emergency treatment. Additionally, they had the opportunity to charge us a lot more but in the end, told us that they didn’t need to perform every item listed on the estimate. This kind of honesty and care was very refreshing. Our family and dog highly recommend this emergency animal hospital.

Our vet was closed as it was a weekend. This emergency clinic & staff provided care and compassion at the end of life for our beloved Cat Bowie. My husband and daughter brought him in and they also gave us a beautiful memorial necklace that someone took time to make to help grieving pet families. We appreciate you all ???

Dr. Drew was great. Brought my dog for an unknown illness where he was pooping only blood and having diarrhea and vomiting for nearly a week. They took him quickly, worked quickly, and gave me frequent updates. I didn't feel Dr. Drew was there to make money off my dogs illness, which is something I feel a lot of vets do. Didn't run any tests he saw unnecessary, and went over everything with me in good detail and allowed me to ask my questions and answered them patiently. Picked him up in the morning, he was already doing much better. The staff were all kind and helpful. I highly recommend this place if you have an emergency and don't want to feel like you're getting ripped off.

We took our cat there in 2021-2022 and received fantastic care, so we didn't think twice about going on Saturday Aug 5th 2023 with our 4 month old kitten. Took her in for an eye infection but she had become lethargic and just wasn't herself. They treated her for an upper respiratory infection which included x-rays, fluid under her skin, drugs to calm her down and help relax her plus antibiotics. We were told to bring her back on Sunday if she hadn't improved, quit eating or drinking. When we got home on Saturday she seemed to be worse, but we affiliated with the relaxing drugs she was giving. She got a drink and a bite to eat and went to sleep. She slept for 14 straight hours without eating, drinking, or using the liter box. We called Sunday afternoon to take her back and we were told that they were too busy to see her. I advised them that we were told to bring her back if she got worse. I was then transferred to a tech who said we could bring her in but we would have to wait for an open bed and there would be no financial assistance. I asked for the doctor who saw her on Saturday, but was told she was too busy but would call me back. Never received a call back. I was literally watching our 4 month kitten die...and they didn't care! My daughter called back and explained that her sister paid the bill on Saturday due to her being off work for a worker's comp injury. They told her that it wasn't their fault that we couldn't care for our cat and that we should medically surrender her since we couldn't afford medical care. We experienced no compassion, no empathy and no concern at all. I even told the doctor that the pads of her feet were very hot, which usually means a fever in a cat. She stated that her temp was only 100.5 degrees so no temp. She then returned a few minutes later chuckling and stated that she read the report wrong and she indeed had a 105 temp. Which makes me wonder, what else did she read wrong. I spent the next 30 hours giving our fur baby tuna water because that is all she would drink every 90 minutes to keep her hydrated. We then saw our vet on Monday afternoon, thank God!!
