I had to be in town to go to my siblings surgery. Booking was easy, service was amazing. I got in to the hotel at 1am. I booked around 10:30 pm the price has dropped just enough for me to be comfortable with risking an overnight stay in a hotel with a low rating. To be honest the room appeared clean. It has a smell of a locker room... so that sucks. My room came with a small roommate ( a small roach, I called him bud)... by the time I realized that the room was a shared room I was too exhausted to get reassigned a new room, and I was leaving at 4 am. So it wasn't really worth it to me. I did see someone complained about bed bugs... I checked before I didn't see any but you never know. I wasn't there long. Below I will attack a video of my cute roommate.

We stayed at this motel for a 3-day weekend. We were amazed at the service we received and the very friendly staff... both in the front office and housekeeping. The rooms were all maintained and we felt very comfortable. The included breakfast was fresh and well stocked. We will gladly return to this property! 5 stars!!

April was fantastic in facilitating my guest experience. Helped me figure out best way to stay for extended period of time. Would recommend her and the hotel to anyway staying in Poway area!

We stayed there after a pipe burst in our house. We booked through hotels.com we gave them the card for incidentals and they charged us for the hotel on that one too. We have tried to reach the manager for 7 straight days and she refuses to call or email back. I would just keep looking for another hotel instead of going to this one.

I stayed here years ago in 2019 when I was homeless in San Diego before getting my apartment down the street it was Cinco de Mayo and every hotel in San Diego county was booked except for the suburbs. I stayed here for a little while at the time it was just like any other hotel, as for all the new reviews saying it’s not cleanly I really don’t have a say as anything can change in 4 1/2 years

The room was a little worn, with a few defects here and there, but for the most part it was okay. The staff was good, the breakfast was good. We appreciated being given the choice of whether we wanted an upstairs or a downstairs room.

I am so disappointed with Best Western. Since when is Best Western just a remodeled version of Motel 6? I was in Poway for a softball tournament, and even my teenage daughter asked when we rolled up, "What the heck is this?"Rooms are all out in the open. This is not an indoor hotel. The room had a musty smell but looked clean. The AC unit was a wall unit, and it was so loud that I couldn't even get a good night's rest. The beds were so small that my husband and I kept hitting each other each time we moved. The ice machine is out in the open, so anyone off the street has access to it.Finally, I wasn't even able to enjoy the complimentary breakfast because they didn't open until 6:30 am. Due to softball I had to leave the premises by 6:15 am. Most hotels offer their breakfast service as early as 6am. But not this BW.From previous positive experiences with BW, I trusted this booking, but I will not be returning to this particular spot or any BW that's just a cover for Motel 6. :(

STOP DELETING THIS REVIEW, CUSTOMERS HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW!!!On the second day of my stay (09-13JUL23), I notified the staff of bug bites and requested a room change which they accommodated. My body was itching due to the bug bites and I wanted to know what caused them. The general manager, Dyia has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. She said that the bites came from fleas as they allow pets in the rooms. She also accused me of lying about where the bites originated. The itching and discomfort became too much; therefore, I ended up going to Urgent Care at Palomar Health where Dr. Nicholas S. identified the bites as bed bug bites. Medicine (Permethrin) was prescribed for this. I also had to follow a lengthy and costly process to ensure that I didn't bring this infestation into my home and workplace.I was treated horribly by the general manager, Dyia, who later ended up apologizing for her treatment towards me. This of course after I provided the doctors assessment of the bites. The hospital and pharmacy logged the bed bug infestation as they need to monitor and report in efforts to prevent outbreaks. The general manager rented the room to another guest after me and mentioned that she informed them of bugs and that they were ok with that. I seriously doubt that she mentioned this to them, no one would stay in a room infested with bugs. She desperately needs customer service training.I paid for four hotel nights and ended up getting the worst experience in my 17 years of worldwide travel. This hotel needs to be shut and treated to remove the bed bug problems they currently have.I am expecting a call from someone at Best Western to discuss specifics.Horrible experience!

The air conditioner wasn't working properly. Couldn't get temperature below 76 and it was hot outside. Didn't like that soap and lotions smelled like coconut.

When I arrived the toilet didn't work amd had to me moved to another room. The rooms smelled like smokers rooms. There are roosters across the parking lot that start at 3 a.m.. I put the "sleeping/do not disturb" sign on the door when I left to work and they came in anyways and threw my cup away. Pretty annoyed, lack of sleep, and not worth the price.

I recently stayed at Best Western in Poway. I was a little reluctant after reading all the bad reviews but I must say, the experience was far from negative. The room was clean, the property was neat and free from debris and the hotel staff was helpful. My only complaint is the location. Its in the middle of Poway, in an area that looks dated. The hotel looks dated as well in comparison to other Best Western Hotels I have stayed at. However, I would definitely return to this hotel.

WiFi is not reliable. Certainly don’t recommend for even an emergency situation, to have a business conference, even when all else is down. Best to opt for your car, next to a mall, to put it in tongue and

Walked in it was hot, dirty, with a strong smell of wet dog, small dirty bathroom (Back of the door has splotches of different colors, dirty shower head). Best part of the room was the paintings on the walls. NEVER come here.
