I LOVE this place. I don't come here as often as I'd like, but every time I come in the staff warmly greets me. They ALWAYS do a magnificent job. I'm always stunned by the results. Of course my nails have grown and I have filed the down to make them shorter, but oh my do they continue to look good. Considering all the hand washing and sanitizer I've used. Barely any chips on the gel. This is why I continue to go back.

Great job! Nice calf massage, not too hard but used a hot stone with the massage. Nice touch. Also used warm towels. Very clean and friendly. Decor was nice and the massage chairs seem newer. Came here while getting an oil change at a near by dealership with in walking distance. Great little salon. I would return! Thank you!

Best hidden gem in Poway. They do quality work and are very clean. I've never had a negative experience and I've been going about once a month for about 2 years. Try to get an appointment because they are understandably busy. Bring cash if you can.

This place does phenomenal nails. The best I have ever had. However, like other reviewers have stated, they HATE taking credit cards. They may say on here that they take credit cards but when you come in they are very assertive about trying to push you towards cash AND you must use cash for the tip. They do not have venmo, you cannot write a check... only cold hard cash is accepted for tips. All of their published pricing is for cash only. There is a $5 upcharge for using a credit card, which is illegal by the way. Businesses can offer a discount for a specific method of payment but they are not allowed to charge a fee. Having to remember to bring cash with me is a pain in my arse. This is a cashless world and unless you are evading taxes, you should make your customers happy and embrace credit cards or at the very least venmo. I specifically chose this place because Yelp said they took credit cards so I am very disappointed that the reality did not line up with the marketing. Especially since I fell in love with the actual service!

The best of the best! I will never go anywhere else! I've been going to Emerald Nails for over a year. I remember when I first walked in and wanted my acrylics fixed because other salon messed it up and was told I needed an appointment. I wondered "strange, but okay", so I made one... next available in 2 weeks. I thought Geez! But, after first 5 minutes with Jenny I realized why. She took her time, explained everything, was honest, pleasant, professional, and everything I wasn't used to at a nail salon. So yes, when you provide this type of quality service it speaks volumes and this type of quality sets you apart from 50 other salons within 5 mile radius. When Jenny does my nails, I don't have to watch to make sure it's being done right (it was new experience to me). My nails are always perfect. I've yet asked her to fix something she's done. Jenny is an artist, my nails are complimented anywhere I go. Someone said there's not enough people working there. Well, to address that, that's because Jenny doesn't just take anyone who can open a nail polish bottle. All her staff is amazing, pleasant, and just overall 100% quality oriented. She doesn't cut costs and has top notch products. So if some whiny women complain that their nail polish chipped off, well, it's not because Jenny did a bad job. Next time be more careful, because in all this time when mine chipped (once or twice) it was MY doing. So I don't come in complaining and blaming the ladies. Imagine going to a massage place, restaurant, or anywhere you'd walk in and it was empty or had employees sitting around... you'd wonder "hmm something is wrong with this picture." When you have to make an appointment, a reservation or whatever, that means the service provided is in demand and high quality. Thank you Jenny, all the Ladies and Danny! I appreciate you all very much!

I somehow got lucky to accidentally get an appointment with Jenny, and all the reviews are right ! Not only is she super nice, but she knows what she's doing and does it well. They instantly earned a returning costumer !

This is the nail salon to end all nail salons! The owner, Jenny, is the most talented nail artist I've ever met and she's so warm and hospitable! Anything you can come up with, she can do. It seems like she welcomes a challenge. The place is small and the best salon in Poway so I highly recommend making an appointment at least a day in advance. Stop going anywhere else immediately!

Jenny is the owner and a wonderful nail artist. Make an appointment because she does not do walk ins. She is meticulous about her work. The women doing pedicures are very good. A little English but primarily Vietnamese is spoken. The shop is spotless. Check out the Instagram and Facebook page for inspiration.

I found Emerald Nails via yelp. When I first started going to Emerald nails I was 8 months pregnant pregnant at the time. Jenny took special care of me and discussed with me how my nails change during pregnancy. The rest of the nail techs always took special care of my feet while I was pregnant! After I had my baby, the team at Emerald nails has been so kind, patient, and extra caring to me and my baby (when she comes in with me). They have brought me pillows while I nursed her, played with her feet to stop her from crying while I was occupied, and EVERY time they ask me how she's doing. They have really taken the time to get to know me and my life, making me feel special. If you come to Emerald nails, book an appointment. That's how their business works and it's easy to do! They take their time and give you quality care, so yes plan to spend an hour or more getting your nails done (relax! You deserve it!) Their prices are not cheap, but that's because they use true, high quality, SAFE products! I'll pay extra for those things anytime! PLUS everyone is so nice!
