I've b een coming to the store for a couple of years now and I've had a pretty decent experience. However, today, I witnessed cashier VERONICA belittling her fellow colleague by the name of ELIAS. She was being rude and demeaning to him in the tone of her voice by telling him to switch lanes with her, as she was trying to give another colleague of theirs some time on the original checkstand that she was on. Upon switching lanes, the rotating belt at this checkstand made a strange popping sound that Elias pointed out. She told him "WHAT DID YOU DO??" And to stop fussing with it, and was being extremely rude towards this gentleman. I'm not sure if he had some sort of cognitive delay or not but regardless, she should be more patient with him and not blame him for things that are clearly out of his control. This is an old store and things like that are about to happen. She also was muttering under her breath talking rudely about customers who "can't see the checkstand light is off ". If she is so pressed about things like this, that clearly happen at grocery stores, then she should reconsider her career path.

was told the money gram couldn't be done because it was too close to 8pm. when I asked when does it close? they said it closes at eight. it was 7:48pm. they still said it was too close to 8pm and couldn't do it. Cristine the manager, what is the point? too close to 8pm?

Myke (my cashier) put rubber bands around my fruit, eggs, and sushi, so they would not spill. this is genius! thanks for the excellent customer service!

Just disappointed with the Habanero grilled chicken I purchased at Stater Bros Poway deli. At a $1 a piece the chicken was under weight and over cooked. Next time I will definitely go to Costco. All the pieces were from a very tiny underfed chicken. Hope the manager will look into this as the recipe is good, but way over priced. Just saying

Wtf is wrong with Heather I ask for this price because she was charging more 22.99 and want to show the price in mi fhone but she started yelling like I didn't put the sticker price I don't know but how I supposed to know if I don't work here ? Then she move away I have another customer then I walk to change my beer And ask a guy if the price is wrong can you fix and Heather come to me and start to complain why I ask the guy she left the cashier alone just to yell me again and of course I got mad at this point if she didn't like his job found another I call the manager but she already talked to him why? Even I don't complain because they supposed to respect that price that I didn't put not my fault but she told to the manager I was wrong because I put the fhone in his face when she didn't let me show the picture what a liar Heather and the manager believes her?

I like shopping Stater Brothers. It's clean, well lit, well organized, well stocked. The produce is consistently plentiful and high quality. Nicholas has always been most helpful in that department. One suggestion I would like to make is that there is entirely way too much conversation going on between employees. Especially the courtesy clerks who bag the groceries. They discuss a wide range of topics such as movies, video games, partying, breaks, shifts, when the got there, when they're leaving, how long they have or have had to work, more partying, hie much they hate working at Stater Brothers. It's inappropriate and completely unprofessional and I feel so uncomfortable hearing these convos. I'm not eavesdropping, they're saying this at the checkout while I'm standing there. Where am I supposed to go to get away from it? When they get carts from the parking lot they usually do it with their phones in their hands. And they're super rude too. They need more training and better supervision. I've addressed it with the manager but there is never any improvement. Oh well, I think I'm too old school and need to just accept that Stater Brothers knows customers are going to come in regardless so why should they bother expecting their employees to deliver basic courtesy.

I appreciate Heather for her excellent customer service at Stater Brothers on Carmel Mountain Road. Now that Joe Bravo retired, I have found comfort to know that Heather is still there, their teamwork was strong and kept people working together. Mr. Bravo always put great value on teamwork, and Heather continues to carry it forward. I also want to thank Remy, Cecilia, Persephone and Connor for their great customer service. Thank you so much!

Love this place for its deals on ribeye. We buy the roasts and the butcher is nice enough to cut them into steaks for you.

I just wanted to take the time & say this stater brothers has some of the best workers ! I haven't had a bad experience! Also, you guys have to try the fried chicken in there food area ! Family meal is the best ! Cheaper & tastier than kfc ! Just in my opinion ! Just throwing it out there

This Stater Bros has wonderful sushi! They even have a great selection after 8 pm. There is always great service and products just like every stater bros around.

The employees at the store are amazing .... Mike and Clinton deserve a gold star. The difficulty of the clientele I watched firsthand. They were so professional. Love this store.

We usually shop in the Rancho Peñasquitos States Brothers, but the Poway store was handy 9n a recent shopping trip in Poway. What a great experience. Easy in and out from Community Road. Store associates are friendly and helpful. Shelves and produce department were well-stocked. We'll be back.
