Vince (sales rep) and Ryan (finance manager) were amazing. Upon my arrival I was greeted in a timely manner while not being pushy. I asked to see the used car I had seen online. They were able to answer all my questions about the vehicle and allow us to go for a quick test drive.
When we returned Vince and the team were able to get the value of my trade in within 15 min and presented me with the pricing of the car and trade in with no extras so it was a clear and easy picture bottom line price. I did negotiate on a few items and only had to go back and forth 1 time. They met me in the middle of my request and were extremely fair in pricing and negotiations. I then was introduced to the finance manager who was extremely knowledgeable about all the extra options that are available. I was in and out of the dealership with my new vehicle within hours. Very smooth transaction and I could tell they cared about earning my business.
I would recommend the team at Poway Honda to anyone looking for a new or used Honda, or even non Honda inventory they have on the lot.

Really disappointing experience. I spent 3+ hours yesterday at Honda Poway negotiating a deal on a Honda HRV I felt comfortable with and was excited about. My salesman was able to remove add-on costs that were ultimately deemed as optional features, although originally they said they were “already installed” and required with purchase.
I had an appointment first thing this morning to come back in and sign the paperwork on the deal we agreed on the day before, and at multiple points I was told they could not honor various aspects of this. I had this deal given to me on paper and they said the current manager in today wouldn’t honor the agreed terms that were approved by the manager the day before.
Only after I applied for a loan through their system, they then told me they originally overvalued my trade-in and would not be able to honor the agreed price. We negotiated through this, and again after I signed all contracts for the new car and awaited meeting with the financial team for final steps, they told me there was a discrepancy with the title of my car and the name on the loan (unrelated), and they would not be able to accept the trade-in whatsoever. They told me to go to CarMax.
This whole experience was full of salesman antics, making false promises to get me back in the door and coming up with reasons after I was 90% of the way through the process to go back on their word and try to charge more. I was ready to sign this morning, really excited about my new vehicle and finally getting to join the Honda family, and was looking forward to writing a raving review about all the help I received in finding a comfortable price on a car I loved. Now I will be recommending my friends avoid this place, or at least bring a lawyer to hold them to their word. Great people to chat with, but a complete waste of my time.

I highly recommend working with Mikey. He takes time to explain everything. Even after purchasing a vehicle he made sure to let us know how all the bells and whistles work and how to do some cool things with our phone. Mickey is great.

I've owned several cars, but the experience we had purchasing our new Odyssey from Evens was by far the very best ever. He was an excellent listener, patient, easy-going, friendly, and excellent from beginning to end. We love our new vehicle, and are SO grateful to Evens and the Poway team!

I bought a 2025 Honda Civic hybrid and have been trying for 3+ weeks to cancel add-ons.
Every time I call, I’m “transferred to the finance manager” and the line disconnects — no call back, no response.
This is unacceptable. Stop ignoring customers — honor cancellation requests as required by law.

I bought a 2015 Fiat from them. Knowing there would be a degradation of the battery. But after I drove it off the lot, I found that the range was about 25% of what the charge c said. A fact I’m entirely sure the entire staff knew. Arlene is “nice” but doesn’t actually care about doing right by a person. Only mentioned battery degradation after the deal was signed. I wasn’t worried because I had done my own research. And knew there was battery degradation to be expected, but I found it, especially in hindsight very shady that manager Nikki, original sales person Sam said, and Arlene never said a single word.
They added a KARR $900 alarm system to the $4500 car and when I asked them to remove, they said they couldn’t. Arlene lied right to my face and said it was just a part of the car, after she said she “went to bat for me.” 😅
Then at finance closing when the option to buy the 3day rescind period for $750 was up for me to sign, the finance manager Ryan said “nobody does this, you don’t need this, etc.”
I blame myself for thinking people have a care in the works for others. Don’t go to Poway, they’ll lie to you, omit things, and cover the truth to insure you buy. Don’t trust them.
Garbage dealership, manipulative ppl, Arlene faking nice by offering crackers and saying she’s “here for me in every way,” except of course the next day when I emailed her and her boss to tell them what an extremely extremely terrible ride I had home, driving back to Orange County, only 70 miles, having to charge 3 times and ultimately having to get an uber gone from San Clemente.
BAD KARMA Poway.

I can’t say enough about Arlene at Poway Honda. She was a great advocate for us. I know it can be intimidating for people and at times even more for woman when you are buying a vehicle. If you go see Arlene she will make the process so easy and you will leave feeling happy and like you met a new friend. Not your typical car salesman. The rest of the team was also great to work with.
