It's a storage space, about like any other. But the gate is frequently locked up during what is supposed to be opening hours. And Poway Self Storage had a race against inflation, and they left inflation in the dust. Prices waaaaaaay up over the last 1 1/2 years.

You should look elsewhere.

Absolutely terrible. A young woman who going through a divorce has tried to work out payments. Struggling after her old landlord moved and picked this expensive storage place with no way to do payment plans or to do a plan. Absolutely aweful.

They are shut down. No notices to their renters: all our XMas stuff gone!!!!!!! Went to check the place out and all the doors open stuff gone. Why the hell would you not give people a chance to collect their belongs. Unreal.

Had my stuff here. No temp control. They redid the roof over my unit and sent tons of debris into my unit. Everything under it ruined.

In this day and age, you get what you pay for. Poway SS is one of the more reasonable storage places in San Diego. What you give up are cameras and 24 hour access. Although the space between buildings is tight making driving a car into a unit challenging, the units themselves are clean and have power and lighting. All in all a good value for what you get. I only wish it was closer to my home as I have to drive 30 minutes to visit my car. Unlike the previous poster, I've had no problem accessing the property or the office.
